excellent game
PostedDecember 22, 2009
this was one of the best games i played since Super Mario Galaxy was released. i have both of them and i beat them but MarioKart wii i play everyday its an awesome game. i think it would make a great x-mas present for anyone reguardless of age. i hook up with friends on wifi then we race each other or we go each others house and play people all over the world together. it was a great game. i highly recommend it for those people who havent bought this excellent game yet. i was a little suprised seeing Rosalina (from Super Mario Galaxy) in MarioKart wii. the Rainbow Road in this game was cool. Nintendo took some stuff from Super Mario Galaxy and put it into MarioKart wii. i thought thatwas pretty cool. there were star bits from SMG the Luma was with Rosalina. it was a 10 out of 10 game for sure.

Impressive...most impressive

Mario Kart through the years has had huge releases (come on, it pioneered Wi-Fi on the DS) and usually was a big time release for each console. Mario Kart Wii certainly didn't disappoint. Similar to the DS version in many ways, the Wii version became the first to feature motorcycles as a prominent vehicle. Gameplay is the same as virtually any Mario Kart: using items on crazy tracks which all have some place within the Mario universe, race. As with the previous game on the DS, the Wii features 16 original tracks and 16 classic tracks from games past. These past tracks have some nostalgia but seem flat and boring at times compared to the new off the wall tracks you see in the new ones. Included is the Wi-Fi play that was pioneered by the DS version, but comes back with 12 at once on the Wii, with Battle and regular racing included as modes. There are rankings which go up and down compared to your place or in the case of battles how well you did. This is a nice touch as your overall record is tracked and your "skill" is traced through your points. At times you can find yourself facing near impossible to beat opponents especially in racing; again, who you are matched up against also is influenced by your record. When playing with friends, you can check your overall list and what your friends are at, and create or join a group. The beautiful part about it is that if your buddy who you haven't played in a year is FINALLY in a race and you want to join him, you can. As long as there are less than 12 players, you'll watch, then join your pal. Works great. In your box, you'll also get a WIi Wheel for your Remote, a housing which is mostly for feel but really helps you out with pressing B for power sliding, and the multiple options (especially the GameCube controller) help making your friend who is an expert in Double Dash make the easy tranistion. Pick it up, I doubt you will be disappointed. I know I wasn't.

Mario kart
PostedDecember 19, 2009
Mario kart is defiantly One of the bets games for wii. I Loved the mario kart 64, I used to play it for ages. The different prix, (50,100,150) were very challenging. Controls were very nice and not hard to control. Animation backgrounds of tracks were very neat. tons of new vehicles and tracks to choose from, makes it more easier to play against people On wifi. Easy to use interface. Sound was easy to listen to and nice. Wifi races were unbelievable, there so fun for any one to play, And they never get boring Because of all the tracks. I found it hard to use the wheel, but its a nice accessory to use for fun. All the different characters added in made it hard to unlock them all. Tons of new features then the old 64 mario kart. Overall, I say it's a great game. I recommend buying it.

Amazing game for anyone!!
PostedDecember 14, 2009
Okay, First im gonna start by saying that this game is good for anyone. I bought this game the same time i bought UFC Undistputed 2009, with all my own money. That just says that i wanted both and that i like fighters and shooters and i really dont like racing games that much but this game is AWESOME!!! The challenge really is'nt that great. The computers make a lot of mistakes as far as running into bananas, imitation "powerups", ect. As far as how fast u get bored of the game. I've had this game for about a year now and i still play a lot. There is a lot of new people like Dry Bones, Baby Mario, Baby Daisy, Koopa Troopa, King boo, Baby Peach, Waluilgi and more. There is about 8 karts for each player, they all have there strengths as far as speed, acceleration, etc. There is 32 total tracks, it sounds like alot, but half of them are like really short, boring, and easy. it just doesn't seem like there is enough tracks. I highly recommend this game to anyone that has a Wii console and enjoys any Mario games. If you have never played any Mario game. This would be a great one to try. Hope my review has helped. Merry Christmas!!!!
