You have Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 as recommendations. If there are any games that have no point, are short, and feel fake, it's those two.

Personally I'm a Xbox 360 gamer. If you gave me a choice between a 360 and PS3 I would take the Xbox 100 out of 100. After playing Killzone 2 this has changed. First off, this is the best looking game out there currently anywhere, secondly the game sounds incredible, and the lasting appeal is great. The online is top notch and the mode where you play against AI is a great addition. The only draw back people may have is the gameplay. Its not Call of Duty. The guns have some weight and reactions are realistic, combine this with the best graphics on a console you can easily get lost in the Helgast world. With all of this said I would recommend this game to hardcore players and serious or good players only. Its challenging, but if you can get the gameplay down it is the best shooter out there.
No matter what new first person shooters come out, I always come back to playing Killzone 2. The storyline is a continuation of the first game and takes place on the planet Helghast. I think what keeps bringing me back are the great maps on multiplayer that goes hand in hand with excellent game mechanics and controls. The multiplayer has NEVER lagged out or crashed on me. Also, the graphics are excellent in addition to the sound. There are several classes, each with their own abilities that keep things interesting. You can earn badges after completing certain tasks to improve upon said classes. Your abilities in multiplayer will help towards increasing your rank as well. The single player campaign is fun and the villains are very cool. If you're a PS3 owner this should absolutely be a game you own. Keep your eyes out for Killzone 3 as well.
When I played this game it was AWESOME!! The story is great and the mutliplayer. But, the controlls isn't like Call of Duty's but I get used to it. You need to be hardcore if you want to play online because you will get pwned easliy. I can't wait for Killzone 3, I think I pre-order it.
