Best PS3 FPS!

Being a fan of the original and PSP title, Killzone 2 was a must buy, the problem being, I didn't have a PS3, until just several months ago. Killzone 2 was incredibly fun to play, also having the best graphics on an FPS still today! The multiplayer is ridiculously fun! The objective constantly changes, making battles never feel stale or begin to lose its touch after a while. Its problem lies in its single player campaign, and in it's controls. Both of those are now where near being horrible, but it definitely is the weakest part of the game. The controls feel a little unresponsive, maybe a 1-second delay. It may not sound like much, but it gets noticeable as time goes on. The controls also feel a bit awkward, I don't really know how to describe it, but play an FPS with great controls like Call of Duty or Halo (if you also own a 360) then play K2, and you will notice a difference. Its single player campaign also is not bad, but feels uninspired, like its trying to capture the ridiculous, frantic feel that the more recent CoD games have, and as a result, K2's campaign was forgettable with maybe the exception of one level. The characters are also not really original, Sev isn't really a dynamic character, he feels like a classic example of a stereotypical army soldier trying to be dramatic. Yet with the mediocre single player aside, K2 is still a great multiplayer game that anyone with a PS3 and is a fan of First person Shooters should own!

I want to start off by saying that I read some reviews on this game and some of them said you dont need to play the first killzone to understand the storyline..well im one of the people that didnt play the first killzone and I must say that if you havnt played the first killzone then some moments are confusing like were your at and why your there. It all comes together tho to be a pretty good story line and understandable..but doesnt really explain to you about the first game but it is the sequal so why should it? I thought the graphics overal were pretty good. The main proublem I had with this game is during the campain it lags a lot! loading points and saving points my game was just laggy and seemed to freeze for maybe half a second and even up to five seconds, I thought maybe that it was my game disc because but it was in perfect condition and I never have lag proublems with anyother games. The challege of the game at first comes off as pretty simple and easy but as it goes on it gets a little tougher so i reccommend the hardest difficaulty for people used to FPS. The controles also bothered me a little at first if you want to use the red dot or green dot whatever you want to call it a zoom, you have to click the right stick but you can change them in the opions i had mine as if i was playing COD. But i recommend this game to any considering buying it. If you like fast action lots of blood and killing this game is for you! I think it should be in everyones ps3 collection. Online play is pretty good too. The online games last a lot longer than COD too so its a must buy..

When I purchased the game, I did not experience the one before it. The game has a good interface and controls, making it easily adaptable. The graphics are amazing, realistic even and I don't know how to exactly describe it, but when you move, it has the flow about it on the screen that just makes it life-like to me. The story keeps your attention and the ending makes you wanting more. You feel almost upset with the ending, but in a good way because you are frustrated that you don't know more. The weapons are not really special but the AI's reaction to them is. They will grunt when shot and create a blood curling scream when you burn them alive or electrocute them from afar. I like how the melee is a two-step process. Bringing your gun up in a whip motion for the first hit and then beating them with it repeatedly until you get the desired effect. The knife is fun to play with as well as the grenades that you find. One of the main things that worried me when I got the game was its replay value- would it be good after the story or just pointless. I was happy to discover that once you finish the story, the online play brings you back for more. No major wipe out nukes or everyone gets weapons from the start. No, the online play starts you off with the basic weapons and then you have to work your way up to earn the additional classes from medic to sniper to engineer, etc. The maps are ones you encounter from the campaign, but also include new, unseen areas and the expansion contains maps from Killzone and new maps for your pleasure. Everyone on there is just happy to play and enjoy the game. You also have an option to choose if you want to play only with people of your rank, making it easier and less frustrating on you. Not having to combat someone who has a bigger arsenal and more classes available to them is just annoying but the game gives you the option to avoid that if you want. This game has that and more and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a first person shooter.

I JUST DOWNLOADED THIS DEMO BEFORE I GOT THE GAME AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! THE GRAPHICS ARE INCREDIBLE AND THE ACURACY ON IT IS AMAZING. THIS BEATS HALO BAR NONE!!!

Welps i bought the first killzone for my ps2 when it first came out. Regardless of what the reviews said and that game was amazing! And Killzone 2 does not disappoint at ALL! The story picks up close to were the other left off, returning characters and what not. The story for Killzone 2 is kinda hard to follow if you havent played the first one! But even if you havent played the first one WHO CARES! The graphics are hands down the best that the PS3 has to offer to date! Its better then COD MW2..i know thats crazy to say but whatever! COD's in general are getting to be all the same and Killzone kills them all! From start to finish you will fall in love with the game, controls may seem a bit sluggish but just turn up the sensitivity and you'll have a blast! I know alot of people are saying its not better then COD but there just fan boys! Take it from me whos played every FPS under the sun, this is a must have!
