this game is one of the most magnificent titles on the PS3 to date. it has stunning visuals, gory battles, and one of the best physics engine for any game.Let me start off with the visuals. KZ2 has in my opinion the best consistent graphics of any game, there are a few parts in the game where things like walls look more blurry and less detailed, but you probably won't notice because you'll be sucked into the action of the game.Second, the sound, the audio is amazing in killzone two, you can hear a grenade fly by you and you can "feel" the grenade pass by your left ear then your right, complete with different bullet sounds on different surfaces, screaming helghast soldiers, and you can tell the difference between each gun just by the sound. Third the controls, the only major issue with the controls of the game is that the aiming feels "heavy", it might feel like the controls are unresponsive, but its actually the physics engine at work, it has a sense of weight and gravity that makes the game more realistic and more satisfying to get kills. it will take some time to get used to the controls, but they are what separates this game from others.The story, this game is incredible and all, but I think the story needs to have more meat on its bones, it just doesn't grab you like other games, the voice acting and characters are great, but the story has very few exciting moments.The weapons, KZ2 has the main weapons needed in any FPS, assault rifles, snipers, sidearms, rocket launchers, SMGs, LMGs,shotguns. but this game raises the bar, there are some interesting guns called the boltgun and the elecrticity gun, the boltgun shoots arrows that pin your enemy on to any surface behind them, rendering them helpless and if that doesnt kill them the arrow automatically detonates, killing everything in a small blast radius. the electricity gun is the deadliest weapon in the game with its almost instant killblast. KZ2 also has a flamethrower that doesnt throw fire but, squirt out a lava like fire that makes the helghast LITERALLY scream for there mommies.the part that will keep you coming back is the online mode, the best part about it is that you can play every match type in one match, you can be playing Assassination and when thats over you instantly start playing Bodycount, so you need to be constantly switching gears. the rank and class system is great, the classes have special abilities that are needed to win the game. Saboteurs can disguise themselves as a soldier from the other team and Tacticians can throw a flare to let their team spawn on that spot. the only issue in online is spawn camping, if your team sucks, youll get spawn camped.All in all, this is one of the best PS3 games out there, so dont hesitate to buy this game.

I really like games that are action, fighting, and gore. In this game I think the design of the humans was exclent! I own this game, but have not played the first one. I really don't understand the storyline that much, this reason maybe because I have not played the first one, as said before. The blood didn't look very, blood like. To me it looked kinda purple. Is it like supposed to be that way? I don't know, I also think it sounded realistic, it certinly has its fair share of the 'f-boms' in it. It was a little to easy for myself. I have alot of friends who really wan't to experience this game,but I don't really understand why. In my opinion I don't think it was worth my money, cause it was one of the more expensive games, that was when I bought it. I didn't really like the controls very well, they were kind of confuzing. I am not trying to say this game shouldn't be played, this is just my opinion, If you enjoy games that are kind of easy, not the most realistic thing, and has no realy storyline, then this is your game.

Simply... Amazing!

I've played the 1st Killzone and played the demo for this one. Fist the demo was incredible. I couldn't believe how amazing graphics were. Of course I was playing on my roommates ps3 with an HDTV and using an HDMI cable. So about a month ago I finally bought Killzone 2. I was very use to playing Modern Warfare 2 so it was very to get use to the controls of Killzone 2 but the first thing I noticed was that even on my SDTV the graphics were unbelievable. It looks so good. The story mode is very tough on the higher difficulties like elite, but that's part of the thrill of the game! If a game was easy, it would just be something else for everyone to complain about. I really love the multiplayer as well. It's 32 player online with about 5 different game modes to choose from and a good amount of maps. There are many more maps to download as well. I haven't experienced any lag yet playing online, and the graphics are still just as beautiful. The levels are very large, and even though it doesn't allow as many players as MAG, it's still pretty intense with 32 players. The story line was very good in my opinion. If you have played the first one then you will definitely know exactly where 2 is starting from. I gave the game a 10 in recommendation because I already have recommended it to all my friends. I don't play for trophies, so you may not like it if you do because like I said earlier, it's very tough on harder difficulties.

Great game, I still remember the first time i picked it up when i first bought my ps3 in december. yes, i picked this over call of duty modern warfare 2, and im glad I did. people still play online mode and wont stop till the 3rd in the series comes out. but a call of duty modern warfare 3 will likely come out before that even happens, which is a good thing. they will actually make improvements instead of releasing a new game every year. plus, youll save more money. Online mode anyways, i first bought this game with my ps3. it took me about a half hour to set up my ps3 by myself but i went straight to online mode because I saw so many videos about it and couldnt wait to try it. it was great, people still buy the game and i ran into alot of people who bought it the same day i did. the online mode is fun and isnt repetitive. and people say it gets boring after you get all the badges, but why would it, after you unlock em u get to use em. i find gettin them a chore, not the only online fun. plus, 5 different game types which are all fun. i dont like bodycount to much which is just getting kills, but alot of people like that mode. and the games can be a single mode only or all of them, or a mix, which means in the lobby system you can pick a game body count only, or all the modes, or a mix of them such as body count and search and destroy. Also, different badge classes that vary that make online mode unique and fun, (medic, engineer, tactitian, assault, sabatouer, and scout). with up to 32 player matches or 1 on 1 you will never get bored. Graphics The graphics are amazing, after playing this game and putting another game in, i hate their graphics, even if they are good. One of the best features in killzone 2. Could not have been done better. Challenge The challenge is good. With different setting to set it on for story mode you will not have to worry about it being to easy. And for online mode, of course it will be challenging, 16 on 16 even if you are the best player in the world you still need your team. Story The story mode is actually fun. In most games I avoid them to go to online mode, but I wouldnt mind playing this games story. Now, the person below me says elite mode is to hard and you die constantly from nowhere, but that isnt true. I never felt like I was getting ripped off from a kill on elite mode. What do you expect elite mode to be, easy. If you find it to hard, then don't play it, its that simple. Im playing elite mode in it now and im progressing. Story mode doesn't have classes, but it allows you to use any gun, including those you can't use in online mode. (flamethrower and lightning gun, not sure what else) and also to use vechicles in certain levels. _______________________ Also, people say that the game is to sluggish and the guns are to hard to fire, but that is how it is supposed to be made. That is what is feels like with all that gear, and recoil from the guns. You shouldnt expect a machine gun to fire perfectly straight for any amount of time without recoil. _______________________ Anyways, a great game, go buy this, forget COD: MW2. get K2. its easier to type anyways.
