Halo Killer?

No chance. Killzone 2 had a lot of potential and it is a great exclusive but it has many shortcomings. First off, the story is not very good. There are no "wow" moments and most of the game is go there, kill some guys on the way, and eventually defend a point. The controls are awkward due to the abillity to lean and if you want to change your controls, the only other options are either exactly the same or make leaning and shooting extremely difficult. This would not be a big deal if taking cover and leaning didn't help as much as it does. There is no prone stance and crouching while moving is a pain in the ***. The biggest problem in the game was the responsiveness. When you shoot at an enemy, you never really feel like you are shooting them. Direct hits will miss completely and somehow you'll catch them with your last few bullets. The enemies all look the same and the guns feel really crappy. The good points of the game are that everything other than the gameplay is refined. The multiplayer options are great as well as the small things like a dim but organized main menu. The guns look cool but they play like crap. Basically the main issue of this game. If you own a PS3, this is a good buy just to check it out. You will either love it or hate it. The graphics are amazing but the gameplay isn't. There is a reason why COD4 and Halo do so well while Killzone doesn't. Hopefully Killzone 3 will match the gameplay with the rest of the game.

A sequel that surpases its predessor....

This game Killzone 2 is a fine example of how a game studio can fix something that wasn't done right the first time. The game itself is alot of fun to play the weapons are fun to use especially the bolt gun the character animations are top notch so is the scenery and the weapons design and look. The sound quality is amazing in this game the storms the explosions the sound of bullets impaling your enemies and the blowing off of the heads thats right heads explode. The bad thing about the sound is hearing that annoying cocky F-bombing tough guy Rico I really wish they kill him off already the main leading man Sev is pretty cool and will probably out rank Rico in Killzone 2 . The controls are great the cover system is sweet the aiming feels a bit weird but you can change the aiming sensitivity. The multiplayer is sweet almost on par with modern warfare. All in all this is a must buy for shooter fans.

If you have a PS3, you should defiantly go out and get this game... If you haven't played the other Killzone games, then you don't have to worry. It is easy to understand what is going on throughout the game. The graphics for Killzone are amazing and probably some of the best i have seen on the PS3... I felt that how they made you use the sixaxis for certain things was a little stupid. But it isnt to bad. The game is kinda challenging at first, but when you get to the last level you will probably have trouble not throwing your controller at the tv. The end of the game doubles in how hard it is. It took me about 2 hours to beat the end of the game.. This is one of the PS3's best exclusive and im glad i got it. The graphics look great, the storyline is alright, and its a lot of fun.

Killzone 2 is one of the most amazing games I have for my Playstation 3, but the character and the controls needed a little help. The controls are pretty weird to the controls I'm used to so, I changed them.There is a feature if you hit either start or select I can't remember, but you have to go to controls and then hit the category that says something along the lines of "layout". There are 4 or 5 layouts and 2 alternatives. This great feature enables you to change the controls on your remote if you're already accoustomed to others. The character also feels like he's very heavy and it's sometimes hard to shoot, so I'm not as free as I'd like to be, but maybe it's just takes getting used to. Otherwise this game is awesome and very challenging. My mom doesn't like the bad language so I have to turn the volume down, but that's okay. I have not played the first killzone so I couldn't say I could compare them, but this is a really awesome game.
