GREAT GAME, HALO KILLER
PostedMarch 30, 2009
First thing off, they stayed true to their word when they said they were going to make this the best looking shooter ever, because it is!!! The battles are amazing, they are very large scale and they are always a grudge match. Another thing i like is how they implemented both large and small fire fights. Sometimes you'll have about 20 or so marines at your back, or you might be rolling solo. The music is great, it really ups the intensity of the situation. Another thing is the sound effects are great! I hooked it up to my surround sound and the mission where you have to take they palace was probably the most intense mission in any video game, because it felt like i was there. The weapons are very cool, ranging from your regular assault, LMG's, SMG's, and sniper rifles, to exotic weapons line the bolt gun. One minor thing i didn't like about the weapons is that you are only allowed one primary and one secondary, your secondary must always be a pistol, but with that, your pistol has unlimited ammo, so its give and take. The story line is kind of hard to follow, the missions are very cool and exciting, but sometimes you sit there wondering why your doing this. Overall, one of the best games on the PS3, a definite buy.

Why all the hate ....... & love ?
PostedMarch 29, 2009
Purchasing a Playstation 3 never crossed my mind, neither has it to my friend but he purchased one as well with a copy of Killzone 2. I was confused , ever since I played the first Killzone which was absolutely terrible, but interested since Killzone Liberation is one of my favorite PSP games. So I purchased a Playstation 3 + Killzone 2 and was a bit impressed and disappointed because Sony is labeling this as their Killer APP. Killzone 2 offers a good challenge but not as good as games such as Call of Duty, the controls are great. Interface is good. Sound could be better, it's okay in other words. It sometimes doesn't do what I want it to do. The cover system is kinda odd but I like it overall. Online is okay , nothing addicting. The story line is terrible. The fact that your team is always with is something I love. It makes a more realistic feeling. Buy Killzone 2 or not ? I'd say if you either own a Playstation 3 or absolutely love First-Person Shooters, it is for you. Which also disappoints me because First-Person Shooters is the genre I absolutely love. This game disappoints but also doesn't.

GREAT GAME

Killzone 2 is probably one of the BEST shooters ever made. The graphics are unbelievable. The story line is great. The controls are absolutely amazing and all gamers have to believe me. Once you get this game, you will play it non stop. You can't miss out on this game. I have to say that it is probably the best shooter ever made on the playstation 3. I hope there will be a killzone 3. It is a very challenging game on medium difficulty. Trust me this game is worth every penny. You NEED to get this game. Even if your not into shooters, you will love this game. I sure did. This game deserves a 10 out 10. If your not sure about buying it, rent it. Once you get it, you will buy it. The guns on this game look crazy and very advanced. Get killzone 2 NOW.

Great Game With Major Flaws
PostedMarch 28, 2009
I know a lot of you out there will think poorly of me as you read this. Let me preface this by saying that I have been a gamer since I owned my first NES when it came out. I have been an avid FPS player since introduced to them with the first Battlefields and Soldier of Fortunes. This game in scenery and graphics has revolutionized the gaming industry. When I first reloaded and saw the entire gun I thought "That looks real!" It is incredible. The sound was just as incredible. I was very impressed on first glance. After the initial shock of how incredible everything looked I noticed something not so great. The controls were mushy. I adjusted them to see if that would correct it. It was worse. Again and again I tried but was never successful and to the end of the game I never got used to the mushy controls. It was frustrating to say the least. The weaponry was vast and incredible. I was awestruck by the vast array of weapons that were playable. But then disappointed again, by the writing. Every other word in this game is the F word. I can understand a few, but it gets out of control. This as well is a turn off. All in all I would say the headline of my review says it all. The game overall is great. It makes great strides toward the FPS of the future, but then takes some steps back in control and writing. Hopefully in the future installments these things will be addressed. Oh yeah and whoever thinks that the slow turning time is realistic is a bit crazy, we are not in a car people can react much faster and with much more accuracy than this game affords.
