Fun multiplayer, frustrating singleplayer.
This game is perfect for: kid gamers
The idea of a micro machines game for the ps2 is very promising, what we got was a good, fun, and INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING little game. First off you will probably do single player, you will realize the enemy racers are slow and stupid...the a few levels later BOOM BAM BAZOOM!!! the racers are CRAZY GOOD!!!!!!!!! so its pretty annoying, there are a few game modes, elimination (if you hit the end of the screen your out until the next round) race (a simple race) checkpoint (just you and the clock) and battle tournament (elimination with multiple rounds) along the way you will earn cars, which there are 750 OF!!!!!!! yes, 750 cars, thats INSANE!!!!! 3 per race, 15 for winning a set of races, and you CAN get duplicates, so prepare for ALOT of replay value. On the multiplayer side you get 2-4 player local (no online, acceptable since its an old game) and you can share controllers, a neat idea if you dont have a multitap or 2 controllers. Once you go into multiplayer, you see you can trade, yes, this means you can trade 1 of your many cars to other players, making uses for those duplicates you are sure to get. Sadly the only game mode you get in multiplayer is elimination, but its still fun. Every time you win a race you get 1 car of the category you are racing (did i mention there are multiple racing category's? 25 in fact, racing, city, low rider, etc.) which makes it able to just have 2 players and have 1 win for easy cars, but cars are only cosmetic and that would be pointless. Overall if you want to play this for singleplayer, dont but it, you will break your controller and mental well being. If you are going to buy this for multiplayer, definatly do, cause 3 bucks for this game is a great deal, oh, did i mention it was 3 DOLLARS?!?!?!
This is a racing game where you are a toy car. There is almost 100 different cars with 100 different styles and 100 different colors. There's a lot of customization if you want it or you can just race. Plenty of tracks and you can make your own! Great Family game. I bought mine for $5 +tax. I would rather buy it in a gamestop store and not buy it online. Up to 4 players. Fun game and you can just pick up and play.
