Resistance: Fall of Man
Only you can save mankind. Through brute force, a species of unknown origin known only as the Chimera have conquered Asia and most of Europe in mere decades during the early 20th century. Recognizing the potential for humanity's total annihilation, the United States supports the British Resistance in a European counterattack. The story follows Hale, a US Ranger, as he struggles for survival and desperately seeks a means to eliminate the Chimeran blight.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers
Recently, I returned to my game backlog. I dusted off Resistance; a title that I had bought for less than $10 when I purchased my PS3 a few years back and hadn't touched. I didn't expect much from a game released in late-2006 (Almost 7 years prior to the writing of this review), but after putting the controller down, I found myself pleasantly surprised. The gameplay is top-notch and does not disappoint for a game that came pre-CallofDuty4. Weapons range from your standard human bullet-shooters, to Chimera rifles with all the futuristic bells and whistles. The health system blends regenerative and old-school permanent level loss. This feature demands strategy but allows you to be struck by incoming enemy fire (which can be very very accurate.) The graphics stand up well. The overall atmosphere of war-torn England keeps you in the mood and the brutal Chimera do not look out of place. The sound was the only feature that took me out of the game. Occasionally there would be no music and little to no sound. This silence seemed odd considering the war constantly being fought around me. But when the bullets were flying the score was playing, I couldn't complain. Resistance: The Fall of Man, was a blockbuster in its time, and now, 7 years later, still gives an enjoyable action shooter experience.

games awesome. like that you can keep all weapons unlike the 2nd one which has better graphics but can only hold 2. third one is the boring one even though graphics are awesome and you keep all weapons storyline stinks.

This game was one of the best games i played for ps3. I recommend this game to all ps3 owners. If you can afford it buy every resistance game its worth it. Even though i like the 2nd resistance game better this game still belongs on my top ten.

this was the game that brought Playstation back in the game after its hard start back in 2006 i have to admit that i have beaten this game almost 5 times and every time i play it i enjoy it ........

I got this game yesterday and i LOVE it! it is totally awesome. Its bloody, gory fun. It is mostly a cross between Halo and CoD. I love this game and i would suggest it to everyone!

This game is both amazing and amazingly difficult. I think anyone who has a playstaiton 3 should at least consider getting this game. I also recomend the second game but I have only played a little bit of the second game so I won't post a reveiw for it untill I play it some more.

The gameplay and imdepth story is very enjoyable, great dark land scapes and open towns, but its a very long game that takes time.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
I got this game looking for a cheap, sort of fun game. When I got home to play it, I was surprised to see that the campaign had good graphics, nice sound, but the controls I had to adjust a little bit. After a while of playing the campaign, I went to check out the multiplayer. Its actually a lot of fun. You start of with a random gun and grenade (they are both pretty good weapons). As you play you pick up even better weapons! I seriously recomend this game.

this game was amazing for a 2006 release!! it had a awesome storyline tht kept you interested for what might happen next in the story. it had many great weapons tht you could kill the chimera with. lots of levels which made them game even more fun. the graphics weren't that good but thts because it was made in 2006. if they renovated the game it would most likely be 10 time better. though the gameplay was repetitive at times they also found ways to mix it up and make it fun for the gamer. this is a great game for the PS3 and i thnk is one of my favorites so far. tonight i also started playing the sequel resistance 2 and its even better with the graphics being exceptionally better then the last game and the combat gameplay more modern it already seems like a step up from the last. overall great game and i would recommend this to just about anybody who like first person shooters with a twist.

I just played through the campaign and I have to say I enjoyed it. I picked this game up for 10 bucks and it was worth every penny. When I started the campaign I tryed it on hard however I switched back to normal. ( I was getting worked). The characters are cool and the weapons are fun. It took me about 9 hours to play through. If your thinking about buying this one, go for it. Its a good game that's cheap.
