I was having such a hard time with PS3 games because I was in love with the original Baulder's Gate for PS2 and nothing could quite match up. This game really hit it. It's got the story to it, but not too many cut scenes, and the option to be one of several characters. It's the perfect combination of hack and slash with magic, plus improvements from the original Baulder's Gate. You can sell your stuff anytime you want by pressing disenchant and can buy health and upgrades at every save spot. No recalling to previous locations. It doesn't allow for much deviation, and it's not super questy if you're into that, but it's one of the best games I've ever played and for only 10 bucks.

I know a lot of games have that repetitive feel to them, but this game is just... well, WAY too repetitive. All I have been doing is battling the same enemies, using the same hyper style attacks that are popular in most games like this. I want rpg, not hyper style hack and slash and spin moves that just look pretty the first time around and after that, it's absolutely boring. I loved the Untold Legends on the PSP. This one, they copied Dynasty Warriors pretty much where it's just repetitive fighting that just seems like there is no end of the same old enemies and same old way to fight and absolutely no point. The PSP version wasn't like this. I wish they didn't change. I didn't buy the game, fortunately, but I am not liking it at all. Thumbs down in my book.

I got this for christmas I didn't expect much it is three years old.It came out when the playstation 3 came out.So I tried it and to my surprise it was better than I thought.I like playing with my brother so if you have any friends over this could be fun to play.I never did beat it yet so I can't tell you how many hours of gameplay there is.The controlls are pretty standard it is easy to get used to.Sometimes I get lost and that is really frustrating. But other than that it is a really good game. There is a challenge I am having some trouble on it because like I said I never did beat it yet.The sound is ok.I like to custimize my character so that is really fun.The graphics are better than the playstation 2.There is not really much of a storyline which doesn't really bother me.So all ps3 owners get this oh and there is online.

i would really recommend this game to you, this game has very good graphics and sound amd thats what i pretty much like now and considering the fact that this game is very good and very fun to play so are the characters you get to choose too you get to buy weapons and amors shields potions and spells too it is kinda like the other untold legends but 100 times better though and considering the fact that this game is pretty cheap too not by quality but by the price of it too some people say it sucks but i think there all wrong because about 1,345 people returned this game because they didn't like it but over half of therm didn't finish the game or just didn't even think it was fun when it really is so if you like rpg games then all i have to say is i really recommend this game to you really badly thanks for reading this and have a great day!

If you're looking for the classic multiplayer 'Guantlet' style of gaming, this game delivers. Graphics and sound aren't bad, there are some scenes and scenarios with such intensity that it can be impressive. I immediately found myself thinking "Wow, this couldn't have been done like this on the PS2" many times when first playing (this was one of the first games I'd played on the PS3.) Overall, it's somewhat bland on storyline, but when playing this kind of action/rpg game, who cares? It's about hacking and slashing, pressing the buttons as fast as you can, to kill whatever stands in your way. The advancement, from challenge to challenge/level to level is fairly predictable and easy to discover--if you haven't unlocked the door or gate, you go to every spot on the map to find what you've missed. The floating camera perspective can be nice at times, but overall, I found very difficult to maneuver and keep a solid view on the action. When trying to view the onscreen overlay map, finding your heading was sometimes incredibly tough--was UP North, or South? Your direction rarely matched the map's perspective, and I found it took 10-20 seconds just to orient myself to be able to make the map useable. It'd seem map display/navigation was designed by someone who'd never actually played a 3rd person perspective game. Speaking of interfaces, the character customization/inventory/outfitting screens are incredibly UNintuitive. We've come to expect certain styles of navigation of menus within games, consistency usually found across the board amongst ANY game, except Untold Legends. Another one of those 'What were they thinking' designs. There are many aspects of this game that make you wonder about which planet this game was intended for, however overall, getting past the eccentricities isn't too tough, and once you do, the classic hack/slash, multiplayer splitscreen action from the Gauntlet days is definitely here. Local play with up to 4 players is pretty cool (I only used up to two players.) You can take your character online or create one, or even use someone else's characters, but the overall, is barely entertaining. You don't necessarily 'grow' your character online, unless you're the game host. You basically either start a new game, where up to 4 players start new characters, or you take a SAVED GAME (either one you saved or one you 'inherited' from an online session) and start it up. The oddity is that if your saved game has only one main character that you've played, the other 3 potential joiners have to start NEW characters, at level 1. Doesn't matter if you're already level 25 and battling some heavy hitters, anyone else who joins may quickly leave when they realize that they can't take a single blow. The group of characters is saved as a whole, and NOT migrateable into other games/sessions. Lack of an in-game chat makes communications completely lame. Sure, you can drop back to the lobby section to type stuff in, but who'd do that in the heat of a battle? Now that this game is usually only found as a USED game, it's price makes for fine entertainment on a budget. There are sooo many things wrong with the game, but there's lots of redeaming value to it, especially when selections of games for local multiplayer are very limited. Replayability is low, but for the week or two that you're first playing it, it's worth the $$, and a great 'Party' game where you don't expect anyone to seriously continue their character advancement. Instant gratification is what you get, with very little depth.
