Who knows where he's been in the intervening years. Rehab? Struggling to get over the break up of Busted? Penning songs from a takeaway strewn Vegas hotel room? Fighting off the Gravillian family on another planet? None of that matters any more, now that the axe man is back and ready to rock.

Review 1 for Gitaroo Man Lives!
Gitaroo-man surely does live! In this stellar port
This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers
It disappoints me that i am the first to review this 7 year old old game..Anyway. gitaroo-man Lives! is a port of the ps2 game which was released way back in early 2002 by inis the team that later brought us the elite beat series for the ds. You play as U-1 a socially akward young boy who's only true friend is a talking dog named Puma. Puma informs U-1 that he is the last of the people of the planet Gitaroo and its up to him to boost his self esteem and turn in to the great Gitaroo-Man and save the universe by defeating the gravillians and collecting all 8 legendary gitaroo! There is a little more to the story but I don't want to ruin the quirky escapades of U-1 and Puma,The game itself is a rhythm game that may at first sound simple turn in to a challenging and fun experience the main idea is that you have to follow a series of lines while hitting and holding the notes with the circle button. There are 4 stages in a battle..Charge: Which has you gathering up health. Attack: Which is...well attacking the enemy Dodge: Which has you dodging the enemies attacks by hitting the QTE's on screen. And Final: Which has you finishing the enemy off. The game itself only has 10 stages + the 2 new duet songs added to this version but what makes this game not boring is the wide arrange of genre's of music. What looks like a game that would only have j-pop turns into jazz, metal opera, techno, reggae, samba, rap, folklore and then the j-pop all of which are done wonderfully..The visuals in gitaroo-man are just amazing the unique art style looks great on the psp's screen and almost all the stages (Stage 8 has some noticeable screen tearing) are done phenomenally this is one of the better looking games on the psp as for sound gitaroo-man surely's deliver with the sound track and even the voice over's at first I thought the voice acting was terrible but as i kept playing I've grown to love it...Gitaroo-man lives is a brilliant game that all rhythm game fans should love despite the small stage selection your gonna wanna keep playing for the horrifyingly difficult master play..Gitaroo-man gets a A+ (Excuse the grammar I really don't feel like being neat right now especially on a gamestop review cheers!)
