Never mind the nay-sayers on this product, as it is a very fun and family friendly system, and I've yet to have any problem with any used or refurbished product from them.
Sure, it may not have all the fancy PS3 graphics or the super famous Xbox Live community, but the games on the Wii focus more on gameplay and enjoyability. It is a necessity for some must-have tittles, and even moreso for the previous generation of must-haves , with the GCN game compatibility built right in, and even the slots for the memory cards and the controllers.
Honestly, the only problem I've had with any Wii, new used or refurbished, was the motion control part. It's a bit gimmicky at first, but it'll grow on you quick.

i love this.it is not like a ps3 or 360.it is its own system with its own remote.sony copied nintendos remote with the move stuff. i hated it. it also has great games like super smash bros brawl.and it play gamecube games and use gamecube controllers.also the internet browser is alot better.well not better than the xbox.so this is alot better than a ps3 360.

Console would not accept game

Spouse and I purchased our wii system online as a Christmas gift for our 12 yr. old daughter. Prior to Christmas we hooked it up to make sure it worked and it would not accept wii games. When you go to try to put it in it goes in very hard and was afraid the game would get stuck. Such a disappointment as it is only 2 days til Christmas, no time for return to where it was shipped from. Going to take it to a local store and am hopeful they can check it out, exchange it or something. This is all our daughter wanted for Christmas and if I had it to do over again I would pay the extra and get a new one.

The Wii is everything a console should be, it has inventive and revolutionary controls a great deal of good games and it's inexpensive. Many graphical purists write off the Wii for it's lack of HD and many more cite the fact that the console has family games it is merely a console for children; if one were to actuall look at the expansive library they would notice titles like "Call of Duty", "Castelvannia", "Mad World","No More Heroes", "Alone in the Dark", "Resident Evil (series)", "Metroid (series)", "Dead Rising(port)", "Overlord (spin-off)", etc. The console had a great deal of games that are well worth playing and any person who writes the console off as a lost cause has clearly never owner the console or ever looked at it's library of games.
This console is well worth having if you like good games and are on a budget, and where else where you get the Mario series and Zelda series anyway?

If your a hard core gamer I wouldnt get this. Its good for wii sports and those types of games. Its frustrating when the sensor doesnt pick up the controller, and the games in the wii lack exitement and depth. Its good for younger aged groups. Nothing too special about it.
