I ordered this version of the PS3 because I wanted the backwards compatibility. I wanted to be able to use my old PS2 and PS1 games. The only dowside is that the faceplate dosent have the Spider-Man font on top. Well that is also one of the upsides. It actually kinda looks better without the Spider-Man font.

the 60 gb model is simply the best out of all the PS3 Models, it has all the features of the current Consoles, and is built with quality.
Not Only Full PlayStation 2 Compatibility, it up-scales your PS2 Games to HD, your Slim sure cant do that little alone know what a PS2 Game is.
I'm in the process of buying another since i sold my last one months ago, and i deeply regret but i had to do what i had to do.
Gamestop Look forward to selling another sometime soon.

I have heard so many people tellin me when you buy a Sony product, your mainly just buying the name, but I've always kinda felt that the quality of their products has generally been top notch from my past experience. Glad to hear your system is still going strong. One would tend to think that there is indeed some element of luck in what happened in your case, but so be it, & keep on gaming.

I Always Wanted a 60gb Ps3 so I traded my 80 with 2 usb ports in at gamestop. and i must say im am very pleased with the purchase .. I don't have no problems with it i play ps2 games n ps3 games no problem. but the only real main issue is that it gets hot very fast and the fan blows so loud . the fan is very loud , its annoying make sure you keep it in a cool room. you dont want to get the ylod . but so far so good .The ps3 60gb is the best ps3 ever build.

Well you got the YLOD on a system model that is the most common with. Now for all the viewers who read this keep in mind Gamestop gives a 30 days on all products , So all you have to do is send it back and tell them it was a DEAD system. and they would refund you or replace the system for FREE.
I bought my second 60 gig refurbished system from gamestop and never had a problem. my first system I bought from gamestop in 2006 it was the same model but brand new.

overheats too much. after it overheats it takes 2 weeks before it will function better but only for a day or 2. If you want to buy a playstation save up and buy a new one.

mine never broke either i loved playing my classic ps 2 games on it i hate the slim i got now i don't have many ps 3 games so 2 is good the slim i can't play my ps 2 game that bites buy a 60 gig and forget the slim ty
