I purchased a 60 gig ps3 refurbished from gamestop.com. Been a sony fan for the longest and not my first 60gig ps3 ive owned. Had to get rid of my ps3 due to financial reasons but wanted another one. Went online bought a refurbished one came in the mail about 30 mins ago. First thing i notice when i open the box is there Certified Cleaned-Tested-Garunteed. Hook it up excited to play some of my games i still owned only to find out it wont even take discs. Gamestop you seriously need to test your stuff before you ship it out. I'm not saying anything bad about the ps3 only warning those people out there that are buying online. I would suggest if possible buy local before you put your faith in items online.

My review on refurbished ps3 60gb

After finally receiving my refurbished ps3 60gb this past February of this year, I must say I am really happy for my investment. I have had my ps3 for about two months almost and its worked like a charm. I literally sit and play for hours at a time. The only concern I had about my system was that on the top of the console there was not an etched in ps3 template on the top cover. But no biggie at all!!!! I am fortunate to have a functioning system. Thank you!!!

hi there :) my reason to email you first of all is to ask you or gamer to a gamer or another gamer is the 60GB backwards com.? like or is the 80gb aswell?

A lot of people complain about the overheating of the system, but really it has more to do with talking care of it right. I've had mine for at least two years now and it still runs perfect! Most of the time they only crash due to overheating when it's left on carelessly which is what my friend tends to do and his has crashed twice. Also an air can can help a lot to get dust out of the inside that clogs it up. Plus, the 60gb original PS3 is best because it can play PS2 games and PS1 games really well and transfer the memory from old memory cards onto it's hard drive as long as you have an adapter. I'll never stop loving mine:)

This is a great system, loved the free online, good graphics, but i am a fan of the xbox. i got this about a year ago and was so exited to play it, and now it just sits there collecting dust because i havent touched it in about 5 months mainly because ive had an xbox for years now. now im selling it and buying more things for xbox. is a great system but not for my needs
