Great Game PSP Must
PostedJanuary 19, 2009
This game is great!!! Graphics are good for psp and the animation is great. Very challenging game requires a little mental thought. If you want a game to just beat on people don't get this. A great storyline with a purpose and interaction throughout the game. I have been playing for a while and still haven't beaten it. I love the controls two weapons at a time and many combinations to attack with. One all time weapon and another free weapon you pick up from the people you have killed. You are dark for a mild portion of the game and it gives a great weapon. It's a chain you swing and attack people with. Very affective. It has good sound. There are sound when you kill people. and there is music to set the mood. If you enjoy shooting games fighting games of adventure games this is the game for you. A PSP must!

While the Prince of Persia series has gained great popularity, I think that this game is a weak link in the chain. First of all, the fighting style fits the profile of a classic hack-and-slash game. You simply keep hitting buttons until the other guy is dead. The "stealth kill" feature also takes away from the feel of the game. I think that a battle sequence is much more rewarding if you use unique combos. This game lacks the ability to do that. Battle sequences feel very scripted because of this. Also, much of the game requires perfect timing. The special moves that Prince does can only be performed in a strict window of opportunity. I spent an annoying amount of time undoing mistakes where I fell to my doom due to an error in time judgement. Luckily, Prince's time powers let me prevent a lot of game-overs. I beat this game without much effort, but I was not very impressed afterwards. It may be that loyal fans of the previous games feel differently. However, as an outsider, I give this game three out of five stars.

Awsome for a portable

this game is top notch especially when its a prince of Persia game it was to be very good. game play and graphics are stunning. i feel likes it is a ninja game but it has that prince of persia taste that i like and probably you would enjoy as well. Its what you expect of a prince of Persia game if the company made a psp version of Prince of Persia Sand of Time for the psp i would be the first one to buy it. the controls are easy and simple to use even in the first level it is a set up training level that gives you directions on how to do stuff. Combat cant be any better than this for a Prince of Persia game. I would say that the Prince of Persia games are still original and always fun to play.one of the best PSP games!!!! I would totally recommend this to any one that loves action, ninja, puzzle solving, ancient themed games.

It's Pretty Good
PostedJune 5, 2008
I've played a couple of the new Prince of Persia games on the consoles (Xbox, Gamecube.) And these games are impressive, (I was a little disappointed with Warrior Within, but still.) For the PSP, it's almost perfect, I feel like Ubisoft could have the best games on the PSP if they just could finish them. Take for example: Rainbow Six Vegas, Advanced Warfighter, PoP Revelations, and Splinter Cell Essentials. On this game the graphics are really good, especially because they fit the complete console game of the Two Thrones and added some extra levels. Now this is great because PSP gets additional content, hurray, but it can get bad sometimes, (I'll explain that in a minute.) The biggest difference between this and the console version, are the controls, obviously not as many keys available on the PSP. So to look around you just hold the L key and it works out great. And it even has a key that lets you straighten up the camera which is easy and I really like it a lot. (I wish it was on the console versions.) Anyways, the only downsides to this console port are these: 1. the cut scenes usually are a mess, it's not unbearable, but something to deal with. 2. Sometimes there are glitches, (Not very many though, they're generally only on the Sand Gate Levels.) and that's 3. The Sand Gate Levels are great, but some of them, (especially the last one, that one is so hard.) can be tedious, because they happen really fast and little things can mess them up, Sometimes the ledges are screwy. Anyway this is a good game, could have been a great game if Ubisoft spent a little more time on it. (You can tell they spent a lot more time on it than Revelations however.) So yeah, I'd give it a 8/10. Pretty enjoyable with a few problems, but with additional levels, and a low price, it's worth it.
