The RPG made me do it

This game is excellent. People may be saying that it is just a failure. No. Wrong. The experience is similar to the 1st Mercenaries, but it is also different enough that you will still enjoy playing. In my opinion, the features that have been added to this sequel make the experience that much better. My favorite new feature is the stockpiling which lets you store vehicles until you need them. The missions you have to complete to get it can be annoying but are totally worth it in the end. It will take a little while to get used to, especially if you are new to the series, but you will catch on and will soon be a pro. The shock wave from an explosion can be a little annoying seeing as how you have to almost get a head shot with an RPG to inflict any damage but load up on ammo and C4, unleash, and there will be no survivors.

Mercenaries 2: World In Flames for the PS2

I have been waiting for this game for years now, and I was so excited when I walked in to get it at Gamestop. I immediately rushed home and put it in my PS2 and got started. Let me say I wasn't disappointed. It put you right in the action from the very beginning. The game runs off of the first one's game engine, but they've tuned it up as much as they can to add a few new features. You can swim, first of all, and even get boats. But sorry to everyone that was expecting it, you can't burn trees. But overall it still kicks butt. The graphics haven't changed, just play the first. The controls for the Mercenaries series are always good and easy to use. The same applies here. It won't take you long to get use to them. The new world of Venezuela is so much more fun to explore than North Korea in the first. It isn't ALWAYS so dark and gloomy, and they've tried adding as much light as they can. But after looking at the Next-Gen versions of the game, this game is very dark. The one thing I could not believe about this game though, is the shortness. I think I played about seven missions until I beat the game. And the end is not half as dramatic as the first. You just nuke the guys hideout and your done. But then again, the fact that there are hundreds of side missions you can do for vehicles, supplies, and air strikes may make up for it. And the ability to create your own company was WAY over-advertised, but its still awesome. It may be a little harder considering you have to go out of your way (or in it sometimes) to purchase those "goodies", but in the end its very rewarding. Plus, you can store nearly any vehicle, helicopter, or boat you find for later. Overall, this game was a success. There are still some things I'd like changed, but hey, thats what Mercenaries 3 if for. (PS, its probably going to take place in India.)

I Don't Know If I Want The PS3 One I Ordered Anymore

I Recently Rented this outrageous title yesterday after remembering it just came out, I had fun for maybe about thirty minutes, then all hell broke loose every ten minutes. Every time I would steal an Venezuelan armored tank it would take about or around thirty to forty minutes just to get it half-way on the bridge but then it would get stuck in the stupidest ways like one time I found the best tank the Venezuelan's had to offer it literal took about or around half an hour to get it even on the bridge before it got stuck by an invisible column of air. Then I would give up and hit the area with all my c4 since home base wasn't too far away and find out that you could damage the bridges to change their curved shape next thing I now I'm bringing back another tank encountering more resistance and still I could not pass after hitting the bridge with cannon fire to change their shape. That was not the only problem, the next glitch I hit was near the end of the mechanics mission when you have to deliver the monster truck, I tried to go through an area the I saw was open enough to go through, but as you know it wasn't anymore because some how going right next to a bunch of rocks made me hit the rocks and sink the truck right into one them right on the front left of the truck was directly inside of the rocks I was so pissed off right then because I just wanted to take a sort cut. Thats not all there was another one that happened in midair right off the oil rig after stealing their best helicopter it nearly froze the game it took five minutes to unfreeze. I sat there wondering where did I go wrong in the game, but nothing went wrong the game was just poorly made for the PlayStation 2. Oh and before I let you go on with your pitiful lives the tanks aren't somehow strong enough to take out bringants that the enemy has sometimes. Also hopefully I wont have to contact EA and say hey I want my money back for buying your crappy PS3 version that did the same crap as the PS2 one just with better graphics.

This is onr of the best games I have played in awhile. I have waited months to get this game and my wait was not a dissapointment. The storyline is kinda lame the guy gets shot in the butt and wants revenge so you make a team of mercinaries to take him down. The graphics are great for a ps2 game I love the fog in the backround because it actually looks like venezuela. You will never get bored of this game even if you have beaten this game adn everything in it you still wont be bored because who doesnt like to blow up hundreds of buildings and cars. One of my favorite things to do is get in a car go full speed jump out at the last second and ram a tree or rock or buildings and watch it explode!!!! The controls are like most other games you hit R1 to shoot triangle to get in a car etc. The game is extremly challenging I have died so many times I cant count (half of them were from my stupidity). OK to wrap this up you have to buy this game it is one of the best games ever!!!! From my percective this is GTA without the blood and sex. I think this game is even better than GTA. You have to get this game!!!!!!
