Sonic Rivals 2
PostedJune 2, 2010
Sonic Rivals 2 is a very exciting game. One of the cool things is that the Blue Coast Zone 1 Act 1 has the main theme of the game as it's track music. The new characters like; Metal Sonic, Tails, Espio, and Rouge are very interesting characters. The game's story line is also fascinating, the Chao disappearance, the Ifrit, and the return of EggMan Nega. I would recommend Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rivals 2 to other people. Sonic is my favorite character of all, he never loses if you know how to control him. If you're in 1st place, you need to know when to use your power-ups carefully, like at the loops, place them there because your rival will most likely not be able to avoid it. The CPUs have a fair amount of difficulty, sometimes when your in 2nd place and a little behind the CPU, you never now if you're going to pass them and win.

Sonic Rivals 2 Is An Interesting Departure From The Sonic Series - And It Gets Old Very Fast!
PostedMarch 16, 2009
Sonic Rivals 2 is your traditional Sonic the Hedgehog-style gameplay; 2D side-scrolling action with 3D physics. The game is a blast at the beginning, but after awhile, it starts to become very repetitive! Pros: The game's strengths come from it's top-notch graphics, controls, sound, interface and unlockable content. Great controls; easy to learn and easy to remember. Impressive graphics; colorful and cheerful visuals, although they can be muddy and glitchy at times. Clean interface; not too many distractions on-screen during gameplay. Excellent sound; memorable soundtrack and great opening theme, decent voice acting. Tons of unlockable content, including 150 cards to collect. Good online mode. Battle and freeplay modes. Cons: The game's weaknesses, in my opinion, come from it's length, overall storyline and challenge. Extremely short length; players can skim through the main game in a day or two. Very easy difficulty; CPU opponents are simple to beat and so are the game's bosses. Cheesy story. Not many levels; only six (6) levels to choose from. Generally speaking, Sonic Rivals 2 is a good game, but it is still missing that spark or that "WOW!" factor. Bottom line here, it gets old very fast, so if you are looking for a game with lasting appeal, I wouldn't recommend Sonic Rivals 2.
