The best DBZ game out there, others are blah
PostedMarch 6, 2011
ill be honest, im a super huge dbz fan and i grew up watching the anime in the 90s and if you feel the same way about the show that i do, then get it. It has the most fighting characters ever in a fighting game, amazing graphics for a ps2 game and the voice acting is on point. If you dont have it then get it now...i still have my copy and ill never sell it because there will be nothing like it...look at games like raging blast 1 and 2, i mean better graphics and all but its too repettitive and the controls got so annoying, please dont waste 50 dollars on raging blast and get this.

Lots of Characters fighting the same fights
PostedMarch 5, 2011
As a Dragonball Z fan during the late 90's, I was starved to get my hands on anything DBZ. The only thing I had was the PS1 Dragonball GT game that was almost always checked out at the video store.
When Budokai 1 came it was like Mana from heaven and what followed was a series of games that only got better and better leading to this game in question.
In my mind, Tenkaichi is the culminating efforts of all the DBZ games that came before it. With the largest assortment of characters, transformations and the free roaming battle ground it is what all Dragonball games should build off from.
On the downside, little has changed to the story since budokai. You play from Dragonball to GT, fighting the same battles in the same order with the same outcomes. Granted there were some "What if Saga's" and extra content following the movies. But it would be nice to have more independence.
Still a must have for a Dragonball fan, probably the only people who will truly appreciate it.
