best dbz game for ps2
PostedJanuary 12, 2010
This game is the best in it's series the best dbz for ps2 and in my opinion the best dragon ball z game i've played. The graphics in this game are really good. They are kinda blocky but it capture the look of the anime. The moves look amazing and the explosions are good too The environment also help with the feel of an anime game. The sound is good everything sound great the charge effects, the kamehameha sounds everything sounds great. It also has it's own music track personally i dont like it put its different from most games. The controls will be easy for you if played budokai tenkaichi 2 and if you play the tutorial but it'll take some time to master it. The game play is fun it's what you would what a dragon ball z game to be like. You can do many moves but when you use max power that's when the fight really starts. The unlockables are simple there are z items, new stages, new characters, things like that. Though they are simple they are really good. The amount of characters is really good they have really good characters, useless characters, and different ages of characters so you can use all of their moves. I dont know how many you start with but when i started the game i was only missing like twenty people. The challenge of the game isnt too hard especialy if you played tenkaichi games before. There are the easy medium and hard but in this game there really is a difference in difficultly. overall the game is challenging but its passable. The storyline covers just about everything you can think of in the dragon ball world. It doesnt have every single battle (thankfully) but the in battle cutscenes and envolving every saga makes up for it. The special moves are really good. The regular blast 1& 2 are great but the ultimates are just amazing. Though some of them are just a blast the way they charge them are cool. Overall the game is amazing it might not sound like it but once you play it will sound twice as good i'm making it sound.

Even though this game is old its still great it has awesome graphics , great character line , awesome moves and so on though these are some cons they really should include the shadow dragons and gt vegeta ect. they dont have as many moves as I was hoping , they have to many useless characters like arale , devil man , general blue and so on. although I loved the library since DBZ was canceled before I learned how to read the library really helps new DBZ fans. But I really dont think its fair that the people that got Sparking Meteor get more veriaty of music BT3 has a horrible music library barely any good music unlike BT2. Another thing i loved was that they had the fighters talk while they fight that really gives it the DBZ feeling. And I also loved the feature of saving a fight.

This game for me has been a really cool game because it has all the characters i would ever want including garlic jr.This game is great because it has alot of great moves to use like homing and special combos to do.Every time i play i feel like i want to get a friend and beat him bad because all the special moves for each character, goku's sprit bomb, vegeta's big bang attack and piccolo's special beam canon make me want to kill everyone with all the moves i can.NO MERCY.This game really has only one downside the itmems to level up with really suck i wouldnt use them. There is even a disc fusion for this game if you have the number 1 and 2 tenkaichi games you could disc fuse so all the games go into one disc which i think is cool.OH WAIT,onother downside the games tournament mode wow it is crap you cant pick your own tournament just the level in hardness, the game picks the tournament for you.I really just love this game all the blow ups and destruction really help you get into the fightin spirit it makes you want to dance.Even if your not into dbz it is still a good fighter game if your into fighting.that's my review.

DBZ hero
Best DBZ for PS2
PostedSeptember 28, 2009
This is my favorite DBZ game for the PS2 because they really improved on the fighting from Tenkaichi 2, and the graphics are much better too. The character balance is good because each character has their own special moves and combos with almost everyone having a completely different ultimate move. The challenge is okay because if you haven't played this before, you will lose the first couple of times, but eventually you might get so good that you could beat the computer with a perfect. The interface is good becuase everything in the menu is where it should be. The controls are great and it doesn't take very long to get used to them, like maybe a few matches and you're good to go. Also, this game includes cool new characters like Goku in his GT form, but to make it seem like there is a ton of new characters, they just took most of the good guys and put them in there two or three times like with Goku there is him from the saiyan saga (who is fun to play but can't go super saiyan) Goku from the Namek saga, and then Goku from the Buu saga. Also they put Vegeta in here four or five times, and Piccolo two times. The unlockables in this game are pretty good, they're usually characters or more levels to fight in, which you usually have to get by collecting the 7 Dragonballs (which is kind of hard to do). The story mode is different than in Tenkaichi 2 because you have to do things in the fight that can trigger a cut-scene or event, which in turn affects the fight by making you or your opponent stronger or giving life back to one of you. The events make the fights way more interesting than usual because its like your actually in the show. However, Story Mode isn't very long and if you really wanted to, you could beat the whole thing in one day if you were good enough. The funnest fight I did in Story Mode was SS2 Gohan vs. Perfect Cell because Cell's almost invincible until your almost dead, but if you can do the event for the Father Son Kamehameha, you wipe him out. Also, another flaw about the story being short is the leave some fights out, so you won't really know whats going on in the story line if you didn't know before hand.
