It was at best okay. The gameplay is fun but gets boring after a while. It really is a slightly improved of battlefront 2 but not by much. It has asteriod bases and extra heros and villians and more battlefields but not much improvement. If you want a good star wars battlefront on the psp get elite squadron or battlefront 2. (Battlefront 2 has it own flaws but still a better game than renegade squadron. The camnign was fun but still wasn't a main character your just a regular solider.

This game does not suggest that a Star Wars Bttlefront III would be successful. Although I long for the third installment, Renegade Squadron does not show signs of a well put together game for the more grown up consoles. The problems start with the customizing process. You have to create 4 different characters for each faction. you'll find yourself dwelling too much on this than the actual gameplay. The gameplay itself is awkward. The shooting is random and your character floats around the map aimlessly. The battles have no understandable objective. All you do is run fowar and shoot. The maps provide only one boring route of travel between command posts. And he space battles just don't work do to there being only one D stick on the PSP.

This is a great game for the psp system but the mutiplayer between two people is boring because the computers are easy to kill.The campaign is great and fun.
I just buy this game , because i got the battlefront 2 , renegade squadron is beter in graphics , gameplay , now you can costumize your soldier , and play new areas in the galaxy , in m y opinion this is a very good game for psp , its fun , you will enjoy these
