I like this product, i use it a lot. But it does not work with my turtle beach x12's. but overall it is a good product.

A lot of people have a problem with connecting it to the xbox360 controller. Here is a tip that I learned off the internet and it works for me: In order for the system to recognize it, you have to smack it in hard and hear a click for it to be in properly. It may feel like your going to break it, but you wont, trust me I do it all the time. Just don't be afraid to smack it in. Besides that, it works GREAT!!! Just follow my tip, it always works for me.

This device makes it a lot easier to send messages to your friends and it fits perfectly on the controller. Overall its a great value as it gives you a text pad and a mic.

I didn't buy the messenger kit, so don't think I'm downing this kit. I am simply showing other options. I bought the Xbox Live Gold Starter Kit, includes a chat pad, wired mic, 400 ms points, and a year of XBL. Totally worth the money I spent. The chat pad connects to the controller it has a spot to plug in a wired mic still, so chatting live is still enabled. I recommend the XBL Gold Starter Kit, just because of the extra contents. But, if your not looking to spend that much money and still want a headset and mic, this is definitely the way to go!
