This is an awesome accessory. It one counts as a camera for video and audio chat (which is free), although I don't even video chat much. It also works with a free software from Playstation Store that you can make videos and take pictures and edit them. I don't use that much either, what I REALLY use this for is for online gaming, yes, plug it in and it counts as a microphone. Great for if you want to use a microphone sitting on something instead of having an uncomfortable piece of plastic in your ear. The only minus (for some) is having other's voices coming through the TV than a piece on your head. Also, the sound quality is GREAT (what my friends tell me over MW2/BO) So overall, good video quality, great sound quality, and good for anyone who plays a lot or doesn't want to wear a headset.
This accessory, is great, a few years back I was visiting my grandparents in West Virginia, I purchased this great item.. When I got home, I tryed it out, and the video and sound quality was great.
The Eye is one of those accessories that you just have to have if you're a PS3 owner. The eye has both video and audio functionality that you can use to incorporate into your games or anything else. The sound quality is really outstanding and clear. Some weren't fond of the video but I think it is good. Check it out!
I you never owned an PS3 or you sold your PS3 for a down payment on an PS4; and need an webcam for your PC this super for that as will.

this is one great little camera you can use it in some games and can use it for chatting on playstation network it also has a microphone built into it so you could use this for a microphone instead of a camera

Playstaion Eye Is A Must

I recently bought the Eye, to talk to some friends when I'm online & talk to my little sister in England. After messing with it for a while and finding the Eye Create software online i realized I can do so much with it. I can take pictures edit them make videos, I can also access my video chat from my PSP the only thing is no one will be able to see me. I actually told my friend about to just by sending him a chat invitation to surprise him that i had it. Now all of my friends want one now. If any have has a PS3 you must get the Playstation Eye. Now That I talk to my sister In England I do not have to waist any time or money using a calling card or calling from my home phone Sony is about to change the world when it come to gaming and video chat
