It would be a whole lot better just to put an extra $100 up and save it to buy a 160gb, 250gb, or the 320gb consoles. mine messed up within a year so i traded it in and bought a 320gb and not had a single problem yet. so its just better to put a little more money in it and buy the PS3 SLIM version and stay away from the fats. hope this helped....

I dont know if its worth the 200 bucks if people say it shut off in 26 days and some people say its awesome is it a waste of money or no right a review and tell me

I would say just get a xbox 360.Dont have to be the NEW SLIM version or the one with the kinect.I have just the 250GB xbox 360 Elite and it has worked AMAZING for me over the years and is still running strong.You may have to go and buy a wireless adapter (unless you get a newer modiles they have built in wifi). But also it does depend on what you plan on using it for. So just think what items do you use the most and think you'll use the most and then buy it for said reasons and cause you like it of course. Oh and nother suggestion.If your someone that likes playing online with your friends also decide if you wanna spend 60 bucks a year to play online or free and if your Friends have a PS3 or a 360.

I bought this 40gb PS3 during December of 2009. However being that it was refurbished, the blu-ray drive broke just 2 months ago (July 2011) and the funny thing is I don't play it as much as my computers do and they lasted up to 6 years being constantly on.

i love ps3 and the graphic should get improve and they should cut down the price
