A GREAT GAME.

Crisis Core was and is my favorite RPG game. The gameplay was okay but the action is dwarfed by the story and characters. Crisis Core starts seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII and finishs where FFVII begins. CGI cutscenes and minigames keep the game from becoming a bland stream of combat. Boss fights are usually unexpected and further the story along. My one complaint is that after you beat the game twice there's not much else to do.

Best version of FF 7

This game takes you back before Sephiroth went nutzoid. I like the fill of the story and the emotion put behind it. If they remade Final Fantasy 8 like this I would buy one for each family member. In my eyes 7 & 8 was the best era of the series. I got crisis core, beat it turned it in and a month later (today) got it again. The game has replay value and is just all around awesome!

It's an okay game. The music is basically remade, yet very repetitve and very, well, annoying. The fighting is action RPG but the attacking isn't even combos, which isn't all that fun. My biggest pet peeve, though... THE STORY OF THIS DOESN'T MATCH WITH THAT OF THE ACTUAL FINAL FANTASY VII. It was talking about Cloud being somewhat friends with Sephiroth before in the real Final Fantasy VII, when in Crisis Core it's Zack. In Final Fantasy VII, it says Cloud is soldier when Sephiroth attacks against Nibelheim, when Cloud's infantry in Crisis Core. It says Cloud goes after Sephiroth in FFVII, when Zack does in Crisis Core. Worst of all, Cloud says he never knew a man in SOLDIER named Zack, when in Crisis Core, he knew Zack very well. I don't treat this like it's an actual prequel, and it doesn't make sense.

o; You obviously did NOT finsh FFVII. Cloud thought he was Zack himself. Cloud was NEVER in solder. He was in the army. In the middle of FFVII @ Cloud's homeland, Sephiroth tells Cloud that he wasn't exactly "there." He was actually in the army covering up his head so he doesn't be an embarrassment in front of Tifa. Also in the picture, Sephiroth also states that Cloud wasn't in it, but Zack, himself, and Tifa.

it's a little more complicated than that, when zack died, Cloud basically took his legacy when Zack gave him the buster sword before he died, zack said, "for the both of us, you'll be my living legacy" Cloud was there n knew what happened so when he told the story in FFVII after getting out of midgar, he was telling the story from zack's perspective, it gets explained in disc 2 after losing Cloud when he falls into the lifestream n tifa helps him regain his memory, I think he was trying to be Zack so much that he got lost in himself while honoring Zack's last wish before he died, Zack in my eyes was Sephiroth's friend, but it was Cloud who Idolized him I believe, anyways I hope this helped, I wanna play through it again

Yo Dogg, if you actually finished Final Fantasy VII u would know that Cloud "believed" he, himself, was Zack for like 85% of the game.
