Over hyped but still good.

I will start off by saying that this is nothing like any previous Final Fantasy titles (same as with most spin offs) so don't get that notion. That being said I feel as if this game was trying to much to live up to its' predecessor. I never quite understood the concept of the game really. You are giving some character who was involved in a minor plot point (and I mean minor) of the original FF7 his own game? The point is any important details which happened in Crisis Core were outlined in the original game. The fact is if you played FF7 you know how this game ends. It doesn't matter about Genesis or Hollander or Angeal. To me they aren't important because they aren't mentioned in the original. All in all the story (and a few of the FMVs) were recycled from FF7. The gameplay however was not. To me most of the game revolves around luck which I dislike in a game. Your battling with the Digital Mind Wave (DMW) system leaves many things up to chance. One minute you can be parading around like a god unleashing limit break after limit break, and gaining amazing status effects and then the next you are stuck with nothing but your attacks and magic which you weren't being skilled enough to use. Even leveling up is "random" in some respect. It is nice to be able to level up 1-3 times in one fight but you can go a long time without it. All in all the game doesn't live up to the hype and fans of the series (or even just FF7) won't be disappointed if they give this game a pass.

LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! its my favorite psp game!

i bought this game a year or so ago. or it couldve been longer than that. i went down to bestbuy to get a game,i saw this picked it up,looked at it then bought it. i couldnt be happier. the graphics are amazing!!! this was only the 3rd ff game that i ever played. i love it to pieces. dont worry if you havent(like me) played ff7. you wont feel lost. it takes place before ff7,so i actually recomend playing this first. i fell in love with this game the moment i started to play it. i beat it within a week,but i had alot of hours on it. its provides a bit of a challenge,but the battle system is good. the dmw(i forgot what irs called,its the spiny thing on the top left of the screen when your fighting) can be very annnoying at times. but its very useful in most fights. gameplay is wonderfull. i think the story ouldve been longer.doing missins,if you so choose to o them,can take up a good amont of time. bu they can help you level up,and get acces to special stuffdont wana spoil the game for anyone. this was the very first game i bought with my own money for my psp. i highly recomend this game to anyone. even if you havent played ff before,youll really enjoy crisis core!!

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is so far the best game ive seen for PSP thats around. Its storyline is great, its full of challenge and the battle style is great! The one and only down sider is you cant skip cutscenes, also you have to be quick with choosing an attack, magic, or item because they will attack you if your not quick. The story line is easy to jump into if you havent played any of the other games which is a good thing. You never know what will happen next when playing this game, which i like, i hate it when games are to predictable. I would reccomend this game to anyone with a PSP. This game is truly brilliant. So if you have a PSP i would reccomend you go out and buy this game know bacause i can gaurenty you you will be happy with your purchase! By the way my spelling is off if you havent already noticed.

Fantastic Game!

This is an incredible game, and I absolutely adored it. I only played for a couple of hours, but they were almost all in a row. I have never played another Final Fantasy game, but this was really great. I've played games before, even on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but this game is hard to be beaten by any home console's game. It had great gameplay, and the story seemed really long. The only problem was that you can't change your attacks in battle, and if you have the wrong attacks for an enemy, you're basically dead. Otherwise, it was an amazing game, and a must buy for all PSP owners!

Best psp Game ever!

This has to be the greatest psp game ever. Although i dont think it will pass up kingdom hearts BBS when it comes out but i is curently the greatest psp game i have ever played, and i have had a psp for about 5 years ( got a new psp this year). And i still dont understand how people can give the graphics a 9 or 8 because the graphics are amazing! i have to say I wish that the psp had better speakers to make the game louder but hey when your getting such a great game you dont really notice, just put on a pair of headphones and you'll be good to go. It also has an amazing storyline and great battle effects. i just dint understnad how people arent giving this thing a 10 recamendaton with everything that you get and can do! But i guess People just dont understand realgaming anymore! :)
