Crisis Core Leaves You Salivating for More
PostedJanuary 5, 2010
Of the available games for the PSP, Final Fantasy: Crisis Core is among the elite. The game masterfully combines gorgeous animation, a riveting plot, and an action-packed battle system. As a Final Fantasy fan, I am pleased to add this to the list of games in the series. Perhaps what makes a game truly fun and memorable is not just its story, but the gameplay. The battle system of Crisis Core is both mildly challenging as well as rewarding. Designed for strategy, the battle system relies on a set amount of moves activated by materia that is set into Zack's sword. The button movements are fluid and easy, and the battles are entertaining; the bosses can be challenging. One of the aspects of the game that I enjoyed most was the customizability of it -- you are able to create various materia in order to gain new moves and items. It is both a tricky and rewarding system that makes the game that much more complex. In one phrase, I could call this an intelligent button-smasher. I recommend this game to both new and old fans of the Final Fantasy series. Its CGI animated cutscenes and in-game graphics make the most of the system's ability. What steals the show for me, however, is the story. It is yet another ingenious plot that keeps the player salivating for more. The characters and the music all add to the epic cinematic experience, encompassing revenge, hate, love, and an existential angst that is characteristic of the Final Fantasy VII franchise. One of the best games played on any system, Crisis Core is a must have for anyone who appreciates an RPG.

No crisis here

Personally, I wish I could still play. Unfortunately, my PSP's UMD drive croaked while playing Naruto, which is a real bummer because I thought Crisis Core was amazing. As always, its CGI cutscenes lived up to FF standards, even on the PSP. The battle system was in tip-top shape and very action-y. I was addicted to using the Materia Fusion menu to pump up my materia past their level's stats. My favorite materia? Exploder Blade. Anyways, I didn't really get all of the storyline, but I recognized everyone. It might not constantly clear as to what you need to do, it's still a reasonable challenge. The bosses were amazing, the summoning sequences were awe-inspiring, and everything just generally kicks tail. I wish I could still play this masterpiece. Sephiroth deserved to be beaten again.

Great Game
PostedDecember 26, 2009
I recently picked up my copy of Crisis Core: FInal Fantasy 7 and the game is great. This game has many good qualities including graphics, sound and controls. This was actually the first Final Fantasy game that i've ever owned, and i got a good impression. If you enjoy strange enemies, missions, varied attacks and creative, "free- roamable" worlds, then you should definitely get this game. At the start of the game, a (awesome) cutscene is played which shows a helicopter in a city-like environment. Out of the helicopter comes a teenager. As this first character runs across a link of trains, blocking enemy bullets with the sword he wields, you are automatically drawn into the game. The cutscenes do not only have realistic graphics, but also great sound and voiceovers. After you plow through enemy lines, you end up in an open area where you battle a large beast (Behemoth) using your sword and elemental attacks. I'm sure that from what i've told you already, you want to get this game. That's a good idea.

LOVED THIS GAME :)
PostedDecember 21, 2009
ok this is my favorite ff game it may be a prequel to ff7 but as soon as i got this game i fell in love with it it has awesome graphics a very good storyline great controls EVERYTHING...... that you would love in a final fantasy game one of the best parts is that you can gather materia and fuse it so it gives you different attacks and also i love how u can just stop in the middle of the storyline and just do some side missions too get leveled up more and its like all final fantasy games it has a very long length story line (or to me it did) and they changed how you fight which i didn't see anything wrong with it i actually kind of liked it better it was like kingdom hearts fighting which i love but i kind of had trouble with the camera like when youre fighting it can move and u have too change the angle but if you love final fantasy youll love this.
