best of ninja fighting games (so far in america)

Loved the storyline of both Hero's History and the other one. The game isn't challenging for those who aren't into hard games, and for those who love loads of unlockables you'll find many unlockable characters and other items such as jutsu (Naruto has TONS of jutsu). The graphics look very similar to the anime/show. The character balance is alright but mainly Minato (Yellow Flash) is overpowered especially in "flash mode." The jutsu that you can do are very fun. And some ultimate jutsu turn you into the character's more powerful form. Examples are Choji into Butterfly Choji or any of the Sound 5 and Sasuke into Curse Seal 2 mode. Naruto can also transform into one-tailed Naruto in which the red aura surrounds him making him even more powerful. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Naruto or fighting games

Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3, seriously RULEZ. To tell u the truth it only took me 5 days to beat Hero History, Ultimate Contest, and get every character there was on the game. The best part is, once u beat "Ultimate Contest" it goes in to Free Play Mode. Which is awesome because, you can go out and learn jutsu's that some but not all characters can use. Such as Chidori, Dynamic Entry, Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu and TONS MORE!!! Just to let everyone know, there is a difference between the "The Ultimate Jutsu's" and The regular jutsu's. Ultimate Justu's can only be used for one character, and there r some jutsu's that some can use like i said before. And Everyone's wondering, my favorite character is Yondaime: The Yellow Flash - (Jutsu's: Flying Sparrow Thrust, and The Rasengon.

Great for new gamers

Let me preface my remarks by first stating that I am new to the series. I am a fan of Naruto though, and I have played other Naruto games, most notably the Uzamaki Chronicles series. That being said, this is an excellent game in terms of graphics, variety, depth and fun factor. The game has at least 40 playable characters, once you unlock them all and it took me about two weeks to do that. I play about three hours a day after work, and I am not all that experienced with the fighting games, so I’m sure experienced gamers would take less time. The Heroes history (my favorite) game goes with the storyline up to the Sasuke retrieval arc and that is a definite plus. The cut scene videos are excellent in sound quality, content and timing. That made the game very entertaining for me. You can unlock music tracks, cards and figurines along the way and the Ultimate contest is fun too. You get to walk around and beat everybody up along the way sort of battle royale style, and take their crystals. Good stuff. I love the secret technique summoning jutsus in this one. You can also customize your character if you want as you unlock techniques. I don’t know about replay value though, once you beat levels you may not want to revisit them, but I have fun playing against friends as well. Overall, it’s a great game for Naruto fans and “Street Fighter” style fighting game fans.
