Junkyard Dog
LSU #1
PostedAugust 1, 2008
Why do i see other people saying that NCAA 09 is exactly the same as NCAA 08.....well if you have a PS2 DUHHHHHH its going to be the same. They aren't going to make NCAA 09 better for PS2 then people wouldn't buy a PS3.If you have a PS3 the game is entirely different and the new celebrations are amazing! If you love the excitement of college football you will love this game. Oh yeah, whats up with Georgia being ranked number one? I will understand if Florida was number one because big Tim Tebow is going to score 40 points every game by himself for the 2nd straight season, but GEORGIA?! You gotta be kiddin' me. Matthew Stafford is no match to Tim Tebow and if Ryan Perillioux was still at LSU we would go back-to-back. But really people jump off the Georgia bandwagon becuase it ain't going far.

GO BLUE!
Excellent game, but....

It's the EXACT same game as last year. There are a few new tackling animations, but that's about it. I'm still on PS2 so I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but it's pretty much the same game as '08 with updated rosters. And speaking of which, the rosters aren't even all that updated. Ryan Mallet transferred to Arkansas from Michigan in January....why is he still the starting QB for Michigan on the game? It's really not that big of a deal, but I'm just sayin'. And as far as the gameplay, there are pros and cons. PRO: It's a little more difficult to run the ball this year. Which is a good thing, because I got tired of my RB rushing for 2500 yards a season in previous years. So it's a little more realistic. CON: Way too many dropped balls. I'd say my receivers drop 4-5 balls a game. One game my QB went 18-24 passing, but 4 of the incompletions were drops! Very frustrating. And not just one guy...all of them. Other than that, lots of fun and of course only $** on the PS2.

When I first got this game, I was so excited because I heard about all the new stuff that the game was supossed to have. I got home, poped in the game, waited for it to load, then I saw that it was almost the exact same thing as NCAA 08. There were a few new features though. Well I really wouldnt call them features but they are different from NCAA 08. The Campus Ledgend Mode is a lot tougher this time around. In games past I was able to be hiesman every year for all four years. Now im in my Junior year and havnt even to being close. The Dynasty mode has gotten a lot crisper with making plays as a coach and not a player, this means you can still participate in all the games just like in all of them, but you can also get a coaches view. My opinion of this game in its entirety is a 8.
