The Force Unleashed is a pretty good game for the most part. You have unique control over your force powers and there are several ways you can utilize them and upgrade them. One of the cool things is the force throw as you can pick objects and enemies and chuck them pretty much anywhere and up against anything. Also you can use it to pick up a firing turret which will hover in the air and shoot at your enemies which is pretty cool. Unfortuneately at times the lightsaber does not always feel like the practical way to dispose of enemies. Now the Force Lightning is one of the best powers in the game but at times makes it to easy. Graphically this game looks pretty good on the ancient PS2 hardware which really surprised me. The only real complaint that hurts this game for me is at times the camera can be horrid. When I say horrid I mean jumpy and at times like when fighting a Rancor will feel like its holding you back and give you poor sight to move around and escape the area so you can mount your attack. The controls are pretty good for the most part some feel awkward but most of whats there is pretty intact. The cutscenes as in terms of overall quality feel compressed,stiff and mediocre at times. Do not get me wrong though most of the time they look good to decent. Against other bosses and creatures like the Rancor and even up against AT-ST there is some wicked looking quick time events that really help the games overall feel of intensity. If I were to rate The Force Unleashed it would get an 8 out 10 simply for the fact its a decent effort by Krome Studios. The only thing that really hurts the game is at times it gets repetitive, horrid camera angles at times and just sometimes feels like they just did not finish polishing the game in all its areas. The game is linear and theres some unlockables also. One thing I found neat if you go over to www.gamefaqs.com or any other sites with cheat codes this game has a plethora of cheats that will allow you to even play through the game as Han Solo and several other characters from the Star Wars trilogies. The games not perfect and its not horrible its at least a good purchase for die hard fans of Star Wars that feel like there craving a good story that has a few discrepencies here and there. If your not a die hard fan of this type of game or Star Wars in general this might just be a rental.

ok well to start im gonna work with the best and end with the worst well the storyline was great and so interesting everywhere you went there was a reason behind it there was never a place where there wanes something important behind it i liked the fighting and the specials there were as george lucas would have intended i also liked the graphics there were cool but they honestly could have done better i hated the competition because there wanes any i got bored with it and it was so short i beat it in like 4 hours there wanes any thing much until the big bosses they took a few mints not really challenging though i was sort of disappointed with most but the unlockables were cool u couldn't see cut scenes in some costumes and the game was ok but they could have done better.

First of this game is amazing!, Even if you aren't such a big Star Wars fan, you should still get it. When I got this game, it was by far the BEST Star Wars game I had ever played. It's way better than Knights of the Old Republic, or Republic Commando, or any other Star Wars game I've played (which is pretty much all of them). The graphics are just AMAZING for the PS2, the graphics in this game are the best graphics i've seen in any game, it is just incredible. Also the game is really easy to get used to, like the controllers and such. The gameplay and story is pretty much the same as the PS3 version. I've played the PS3 version and its pretty much the exact thing, except that you go through a different route in the PS3 version, but you go to the same worlds and such, and fight the same bosses. One of the things I really really liked about this game are the boses you fight, like its crazy!!. Like before you beat the bosses there is this combinations of attacks that you have to do, and they have like these scenes of the attack that you do while you are pressing certain buttons the game tells you to press for the combinations, but man the fighting scenes are like by far the best Star Wars dueling actions I've seen. I also like the music in the game, like for every level the music is just perfect, like the music makes you feel like you are in that world. Also the sounds in the game are sweet, like the explosions, and lightsaber swings and when they hit and stuff, it's just really sweet. So yeah this just some of the really cool things about this game that I like. Seriously I bought for the new price, but I dont regret the money that I spent on this game, it's worth the money, trust me. So if you get a chance to get this game, GET IT, you won't regret it.

I loved it so much. It takes place between e3 and e4 but looks a lot like the galactic civil war. I t was fun using all the combos and force powers it has to offer. I would totally recommend to any one. Also the sound of it was amazing. Who ever made the music is a genius. Thats just the beginning. The light saber customization is awesome. The force powers may I dare say it OFF THE CHAIN. (or unleashed). I was amazed at how well they made for the ps2 I am surprised they made all that awesome game into a second generation counsel. It was one of the most amazing games I have played.the story line was a little sloppy but all around good. the characters made sense. The most fun i Have had in a while. My saber is basically the first saber. It is a totally awesome game. BUY IT.
