From a life-long fan...
PostedJuly 27, 2009
I've grown up playing Lara and beat every game a few times each. So of course I was super hyped about the next in the series that was suppose to answer a lot of questions the last one left us off with along with getting chills from an interesting title like "Underworld" leads to what plots and landscapes would be next. Well...it did answer our questions...but that's about all it did to hold the name of a true Tomb Raider game. The graphics took a major step back, you only kill a handful of push-over enemies, 90% of your time is running down halls or on your bike down one way trails with no sense of adventure at all. This was more like an interactive movie than a game. With dozens of perfect openings for great old-school Lara beat-downs replaced with movies sucked half the fun out right there. Being a life-long Tomb Raider fan, knowing it's difficult puzzles, amazing landscapes, witty humor in characters and classic plot twists, I was highly disappointed in this game. Heck....Angel of Darkness was more interactive than this (and that's a whole other story of disappointment...) So unless you're playing and collecting as a fan, don't waste your money. I truely hope they can bring Lara back up to her previous glory as a respected title among gamers.

Grand Theft Auto IV
Playstation 2 Rushed
PostedJuly 10, 2009
I think that this game is far better on both Playstation 3 and XBox. So please don't take this as a review of ALL formats. Even Wii looks more challenging and entertaining. Very boring on Playstation2....too much running down halls. The monsters are easy to kill and the perspectives are difficult if not annoying. They add nothing to the game. The puzzles are incredibly easy and almost not worth having (the few that are in the game). By far the worst Tomb Raider on Playstation 2. It's like they dumbed down the PS3 and XBOX versions. By this ONLY AS A USED GAME for PS2 or for heavens sake, go back to Tomb Raider III and play it again. Don't waste your money. My son has an XBOX and I'm planning to trade this bomb for the XBOX version even though I'm not comfortable with the XBOX controls. Eidos should be ashamed of this one.

TOMB RAIDER: UNDERWORLD
PostedMarch 9, 2009
To tell you the truth Tomb Raider: Underworld was wakity wak.The graphics were alright. But lara's image when you got a close up on her she was horrible looking. In the other games TR:Legend and TR: Anniversary she looked great. I guess they rushed the game to come out.Umm at the end when the very last ending the graphics were awesome if you look closely it's just like the one in the PS3 and XBOX 360. But the little cutscenes between the game were kinda weird looking , i guess the makers put to much new things they had to take out other old things like Lara's light , acrobatics , and the the thing thats on her ear from before, when she would talk to zip. Oh!! and they changed allot of things ummm, like in thailand it's supposed to be like a forest , the part where you get to the four armed lady it was a temple and just a temple no plants at all and it was wikked easy to figure it out. oh and when in the big ship the sun and the clouds looked awfully weird. and why did alister have to die. and the whole mother thang was sad and funny at the same time lol. there weren't a lot of things or people to kill you didn't even get to fight natla she just threw the damn hammer boom she died ha ha lol. the out fits were cool but the best game they have ever made was definitely TOMB RADIER : LEGEND that game had it all it was eye catching and very addicting. Lara in TR: Underworld was not good looking like i mentioned before her eyes looked drawn. Once you've finished the game. You could choose what kind place you wanna go to and outfit, but like in TR: Legend when you chose a certain outfit when the little scene came up that outfit would be on Lara but in this one , like yesterday i chose to where a white bathing suit for lara in the mediterranean sea , the octopus scene came up she ended up wearing the black bathing suit. And i thought i was going to fight it but no i just dropped a spiky thing boom it died, that was lame. <PEACE, LOVE, AND CHOCOLATE CRUMS>
