IS SHE LOSING HER TOUCH??
PostedMarch 9, 2009
I really love lara. BUT THIS GAME DIDN'T WORK OUT FOR ME. the controls sucked, you died if you jumped off a short cliff, the graphics really sucked. ii have been following her my whole life and she is my role model ilove her but sorry lara this game isn't your best i was really angry when i beat it. i was hoping it would be longer and harder. The producers of this game should ashmed of themselves!! i give this game 5 out of 10 stars sorry lara. but hey if they make another it has to be better. (btw the cutsencs look like burned dvd's which really made me mad!) ugh i just wanted a better tomb raider game. i got my hopes up and Crystal Dynamics let me down. hopefully next time they'll take more time out and plan it out in a better way. i love you lara but this isn't your best

very disappointed

I have have played just about all the tomb raider games, and beaten all of them. So I'm used to a game that takes a long time to complete. But this one was too easy. I beat the whole thing in just about 4 days playing a few hours everyday. Where as with Legend and Anniversary it took me over a week or two to beat it and was far more addictive. I was expecting this whole big thing when I found out that Underworld was going to continue the story line of Legend. Then i started playing it and found out Anniversary was tied in to the mix i thought cool. But after a while i was like wow this is boring. The story line was way to short , the levels were way to short, and there were no boss guys like in Legend and Anniversary. Come on i was expecting at the end to fight Natlia or the Midgard Serpent or something else big after fighting a T-Rex in Anniversary and then there was nothing it was just a machine at the end. Also the interactive sequences where horrible for one u could barely see where you were going and then was nothing that promoted you what to do next or Lara falls to her doom. yeah the graphics looked more realistic but i think the previous ones were better. The only thing I liked was that she got some new moves but thats it no new equipment. Plus the whole health thing was bad. You didn't collect any thing it regenerated by its self and if you did fall from a high place you were dead instantly not that it took a big chunk of health. Also i was expecting that since it was delayed for so long that there would be more to it. It looks like they just wanted to get something out and thats it and just make it look good. hopefully they come out with another game in a few months to make up for this. One that is just as good as Legend and Anniversary. Because i was very disappointed with this game especially after waiting so long for it to finally come out for the PS2.

Could be better....

I was expecting it to be amazing since they put off releasing it for about 3 months. I just started playing it yesterday and I am highly disappointed. The controls are easy and very much like the ones in the other games. But if you are expecting this to be another Legend or Tomb Raider: Anniversary, it is not. First, you do not go around gathering supply & if your health gets low in about 3 seconds it fills up on its own. You get 2 guns and a grapple/some sticky bombs. You do not get the flashlight/ any of the other items you would have in the PC/PS3/XBOX360 games. The graphics aren't nearly as good as in the Legend & Anniversary game. I've played about 4 levels and only had to kill 5 or 6 things at the most. I watched youtube walkthroughs for the PC/XBOX game and if you think you're going to have little bats jumping out/great graphics and running through the rain-you have another thing coming. Basically, this game was rushed out and the makers only cared about how great it looked on the newer systems. Therefore, you will not all the features and you won't have sneaky little animals chasing you once you've pulled a lever/solved a puzzle like in the last games. I haven't run into any "bugs" so far, but it's almost like you're buying a walkthrough verison of the game. Lara's movements are limited--she can't do hand-to-hand combat like in the last games. The camera view is third-person, but sometimes moving the camera to view your surroundings can be difficult. Overall I give this about a 4 stars out of 10. Hopefully, if the makers come out with another Tomb Raider game they will give the PS2 game all the same freatures/better graphics that they did for the other systems.
