before I bought my playstation 3 I did some research, and I found out there are only three models that play ps2 & 1 games, and this is one of them. My cousin has the new slim model and mine runs just as good and has reverse playback! Gamestop did a great job refurbishing it. Go Playstation!

The 80gb does not have full ps2 support, it emulates. The 60/20 actually have ps2 chips inside. If your buying for ps2 & ps3 I'd recomend buying the 20 or 60 as they play the ps2 games better. You can always upgrade any ps3's harddrive if you have to.

the only down fall to the ps3 is it dosent play ps2 games

It doesnt play ps2 games becauseits a PS3 3 3 3 no 2 just 3!

You say it does not play PS2 games? Yes it does! This edition does play PS2 games! This edition does everything. PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, Blu Ray, and Dvd upscaler. Free online play too!

After I went through 4 Xbox elites in one month I decided to get this. And ya know what? That was several years ago! It still runs smooth as ever and I have a blast because the PSN is free and you don't have to pay to play unless its for the game's disc of course.

you should really buy this especially if you have call of duty games on it with the little ear piece you should really buy it
