Worth it but...

this system is definitely worth it. however mine died from ylod (yellow light of death). found a way to get it working again by heating the mother board, though its only last for a few weeks each times. now looking for replacements for it. other than that, it worked great, before mine died, and its supports ps2 games, of course ps1 games too. love it to death and good way to play all ps games without buying multiple systems at once. I highly recommend this system. by the way, don't worry too much about ylod stuff. few fat ps3 will cause ylod, unlike the original xbox 360, so there so little chance for it to happen to you. but you might want to be careful though, just in case for any few who get it.

I got this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. It's really quiet and runs great. The backwards compatibility is awesome and one of the main reasons I decided to get the 80GB version. I've used my PS3 almost everyday and haven't had any problems with it at all so I'm very satisfied with the work that Gamestop did refurbishing it. This system is worth getting for any gamer.

Received the first one, And it wouldnt eject the disc. Returned it and had another one shipped to me. Used this one for approx 2 weeks, And went to a red screen and then nothing. Returned it and had another one shipped to me. Opened the box, Set it up, And it wouldnt eject the disc, Plus it would turn on by its self. in all my years i never have seen anything like this. Totally disappointed !!!!!

Ps3 fat the colossus shines

i bought it refurbihed about a year ago and it makes less noise than my xbox slim that i also bought about a year ago the only thing that works better on the xbox slim is downloading games and updates via wi fi i bought the fat version because of the card readers 4 usb slot and because i love the design better than the slim and of course because i wanted to play ps2 games on higher definition than just 420i the game that i wanted to play (TCNYC) didnt work on the xbox so i bought the ps3 80gb because i dint know that you can expand the memory(expert recomended for doing that) and i didnt know 80gb had ps2 emulator so the game had some controlling problems but looks great on hd, so i would like to change it for a 60 gb and change the hdd up to 500gb or 1Tb if you want to play an especific game for ps2 that has problems on the 80gb you should get a 60 gb and buy a 500gb hdd believe me 60,80,120 gb is not enough idk if slim versions have better wi fi but the ps3 fat is an awesome console believe me you are going to love it.
