The console did EVERYTHING it was supposed to do!

The console did EVERYTHING it was supposed to do! The first day I bought it, I used it for AT LEAST eleven straight hours and didn't have a single issue with it. The only thing I did NOT like about it was that, for the price, and the fact that it was Certified Refurbished, I was a bit annoyed that the normal piano black glossy shell with "Playstation 3" in chrome on the top was replaced with a flat black generic shell that said NOTHING! You would think they would charge ALOT LESS in that case. I mean, yeah, it's backwards compatible but, if you refurbish something, you are SUPPOSED to make it look brand new!!!!

Decent Console, get what you paid for.

I've had my PS3 for 3 years now, and it still runs like it came out of the box, I never bought my PS3, but I won it at a church lottery (at first I wanted an Xbox 360, ended up winning the PS3 instead and the PS3 was 1st price by the way) and its perfect, there's really nothing wrong with the PS3 at all, I can't think of any cons for the console. Now, one of my favorite pros for the PS3 is the FREE membership for PlayStation Network, a big pro for any people out there looking for a free online gaming unlike Xbox Live, now, the PS3 may be a little more costly than the Xbox, but as the title says, "you get what you paid for" so, if you want a dependable console (my console has not had any problems at all) play BlueRay movies (the reason why the PS3 is a little more costly) and FREE online, than the PS3 is the console for you.

from a nintendo fan...

this system had many potentials: blu-ray,HDMI, universal hard drive replacements, and revolutionary cell processor. and still left room for improvement for its successor. now with the vita you can play almost anywhere. the big complaints i have are: its a power sucker, the old model was pure bulk, and above all the ventilation was very poor (especially on the slim) because the fan down fires on both. i did my own repairs to fix the majority of these problems (not recommended for beginners or people with warranties).
