Do not. EVER. Buy a refurbished ps3. Ever. My story is, I bought one from gamestop for $200 and something odd dollars. Sure you have a 30 day warranty, but it's not worth it to save and copy over files you started on it. After my 30 day warranty was up with only slight problems that i thought nothing of, soon it stopped reading disc's all together. You cannot purchase a warranty from sony if you buy one refurbished i found out. So i had to bring it in a 3rd party repair shop and turns out the blue ray laser was fryed, which cost $120 to replace. After that it works beautifully but for a $300+ for an old version and a week w/o my ps3 for repairs. Just save up a little more and buy a new one. TRUST ME on this one from experience. So you don't have to empty your pockets like i did.

We purchased our NEW PS3 from our local GameStop several years ago for too much (cause they were that expensive back then) and we have used it to death ever since. It has been hooked to our living room TV for as long as we have owned it. My husband plays games. I occasionally play games (I prefer Nintendo girl games =) ) We watch movies with Crackle, Netflix, Hulu Plus, now the new Amazon On Demand. We use Youtube XL. We stream music using PS3 Media Server from our computer. We also play actual DVDs CDs and Blu-Ray discs. We no lie use our PS3 daily, several hours a day, with zero problems. I can't tell you how happy we are with our PS3. We'll use our PS3 until the day it dies =)

i bought this playstation about 4 months ago, i was excited to get the backwards compatible version, and gues what, it went yellow light...either buy a new one or make sure you get a warranty

my dad bought this for me 5 years ago and it is still going strong. this is one of the rarest ps3's that were ever made. my father spent 600 dollar's for it back in 2007 and to see for this price is a shocker. this console should last anyone many years of joy to come.
