Seen these were 80 bucks found this model in store about a hour drive from my house. Drive there buy it plus a few games bring it home decide to check it to make sure it works (only has a 30 day warranty ) plug it in put a game in looks good. Put it back in the box wrap it up for my kids xmas gift with xmas 30+ days away . Christmas morning kid opens box flips out we plug it in worked great for 10 mins then game started skipping put in brand new game still skipped wouldnt load. tried everything spent the day looking up error codes etc. SO GLAD GAMESTOP TOOK THE TIME TO MAKE SURE IT WORKED BEFORE SELLING IT

If you want to play PS2 games again Get this PS3. I also prefer the look of the older PS3's because they have chrome detail. it Plays perfectly

I've heard several good & an equal number of mixed reviews regarding purchasing a refurbished backward compatible PS3. Naturally the good being all the perks of owning one. The bad being YLOD within less than a month or two of ownership. Can the people who bought theirs in the last two years please post whether or not yours are still working?

So the only reason I'm not completely mad is because the staff there was amazing as always. The system I bought broke down on me several times and I had to exchange it 3 different times ALL WITHIN THE SAME MONTH!!! I finally gave up and just received my money back. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this system.

Mine was new, not refurbished. 80gb Fat ps3. Doesn't have memory stick & extra ports but does have wireless & is backwards compatible. I love this console. Definitely think it's made better than slim & super slim. I upgraded HDD to 500gb & then 1 tb. If u buy digital games u will need lots of memory as they take up much more rm than disc version. I buy mostly disc but do have plenty of digital games too. I have had my console over 5 yrs. I keep it clean & safe so it will last long time. Altho ps3 has better cooling system than Xbox, I use a small fan on low facing front (disc side) of console to keep heat blowing out back. Doesn't need to cool itself nearly as much this way. Every1 I know w/ Xbox has had to replace their console repeatedly. This is a fantastic gaming console & I am extremely pleased w/ it. Use it all the time.
