Great for PC gaming

I bought this as a cheaper replacement controller since dualshock3 still costs like $55. It works great, thought the extra dongle you need to plug into the ps3 was annoying UNTIL I plugged this into my PC and the driver installed instantly and it worked great. 10 million times better than that gutwrenchingly bad motioninjoy driver required for using an official sony dualshock 3 on a pc. I will buy 3 more of these for the simple fact that they beat the carp out of that mindblowingly terrible motioninjoy driver.

When I purchased the item I was excited but after a week the right analog stick was malfunctioning for some reason it was giving the command of up and it would not fix so I threw it away it was amazing that it had a Xbox360 design but it lacked the durability overall just don't purchase it, find another 360 PS controller design.

NOT FOR FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS! sticky aim.

When my third PS3 controller burned out on me I decided to buy one of these beacuse of the cheapness. Well once again cheapness comes at a big cost. The sticks (not the position) are extremely hard to menuvor and aim with, not to mention the triggers (bumbers for xbox) are oddely placed and have terrible feedback and acknowledgement of any pressure put unto them. My preformance on most of my games actually went down beacuse of the design flaws. My old broken controller was sturdier than these. If I where looking for a controller I'd save my money and buy whatever your consoles name brand controllers are. You can smack these controllers and brake them. waste of money.

A nice controller but not great.

I think this is a very nice controller. It's responsive, looks cool when it glows; as well as offering 3 different settings (full on, vibration glow, off) I have had 1 operating issue where part of the little circuit board on the left would push toward the left joystick and the joystick would stick during gameplay however that flaw has diminished as I've owned the controller now for about 2 weeks and the problem has not returned. The lack of SIXAXIS is the only downside preventing me giving this a 10. A slight con is it needs to use a dongle, the good news is that it is a very capable wireless controller with a built-in battery. Speaking of the battery, another huge complaint is that there is no way to check the charge level of the controller by holding the HOME button. The controller automatically shuts off when not in use after a minute or so to help save battery life and comes right back on immediately by pushing Home, Select or Start; which I think is a convenient feature. The USB cord is also quite long an impressive 8 and 1/2 feet long!!! Over all I would say this controller is good but not a final solution to substitute a SONY Licensed controller; due ONLY to the lack of SIXAXIS capability. I would say this controller works great as a spare controller or if your controller breaks and you need something to float you until you can afford a SONY controller. This works great for Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 4 to say the least. Also the d-pad is not perforated like a SONY licensed controller so pushing left or right too quickly can turn into a diagonal left or right; however that isn't a huge problem for me.
