Not the best in the series but there is some high points.

The Smackdown series has been around a good while now and this game seemed stripped down. In this version they actually took matches out and it confused me as to why. The addition of Inferno Match was awesome and works quite well. The Road to Wrestlemania mode was a nice diversion and the storylines albeit short were some of the best ever in a wrestling game. The career mode I thought was a pure joke. There is a good selection of wrestlers and they look like they do in real life. I have always felt that the Smackdown series has done a good job capturing the look and feel of the WWE and this game is no different. Even with a lot of matches taken out there is still enough fun to be had in this game. If you are a die hard wrestling fan or Smackdown fan you could do a lot worse than this.

The best smackdown vs. raw
PostedOctober 5, 2009
This game is the best Smackdown vs. Raw game so far. My only complaint is the camera angles. When outside of the ring you can't see your opponent or your character. There's 53 different characters to use so you never get bored. The best part is that rey mysterio can pick up big show no problem. Most of the superstars in the WWE now are in the game. The controls are extremely easy to use and the graphics are top notch. The difficulty for the game can be changed. but if you have played for a while even the hardest setting becomes quite easy. I hope in the next versions more characters and match types are included. Also, Hornswaggle becomes available as a manager only. Weapons in this game are most effective too. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes fighting games!!!!!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... Okay

I got this game for christmas and i think overall its ok. Like most other games of the kind, it still lacks some common sense. I mean, how on earth could rey mysterio pick up big daddy v?! The entrances are a little off but good. The game has great graphics. But i still question the camera angles. You could barely see yourself when your outside of the ring! I think the "create your own finisher" is a greast addition for the game. It has an excellent choice of front moves but not moves like on the turnbuckle or behind the opponent. I like the creativity in the "road to wrestlemania" mode. I also think the two player co-op mode was great too, but i just wish we could just have a better selection of teams. And i think some of the character's personalities is off, like brian kentrick is on smackdown! but it's the kind that sprints to the ring. I thought it would be better, but this is still a fun game and a great addition to the smackdown vs raw game series.

Hmm, Okay game.

For such a game, you would like this game if you want to just kick back with your friends and bust some butt. Perfect game. But for actual play, sitting back in your bedroom and enjoying a story mode including divas action in them, not the right game, well not for this system. This game is boring on the PS2. Career mode, is basically boring. You waste your loving time to fight other superstars and win titles. But no story mode. We all love GM Mode. This game pretty much does not have that mode. You basically fight. Unless you want to go through exhibition mode and play GM Mode in your head. Just by this game play, you can tell that PS2 Games are not getting anywhere no more. PS2 Systems are leaving the market. Not getting anywhere. You can also tell that the games for PS2 are not being done the way you would like them. Overrall, Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 is best played on the 360. For best result in graphics and good game play, try the 360, not the PS3. Even though the PS3, it really doesnt matter.
