If you just wanna have some fun and play some exhibition matches with your friends, then this is the right game for you. But if you are a gamer like me, who want an in depth career mode or something of that sort, you're out of luck. Career mode is very stupid where you just play a lot of matches without any kind of story. Road to Wrestlemania is a little better. They made different story lines for 6 different superstars. But the sad part is that it starts from Royal Rumble and ends at Wrestlemania. So, you have about 10 weeks, a mere 10 matches to fight. There's not a lot of cutscenes. The story is interesting, but they're way tooo short. You can finish one storyline in 1-2 hours. Also, there's no diva presence in the road to wrestlemania which makes it kinda boring. It's an OK game...but i would've preferred it to be a longer story mode.

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2009 lacks in many aspects, like Hell in a Cell no longer has the Sledge Hammer or any other weapon besides the Ring Bell or Title Belt, which makes it a little boring. The Inferno Match has yet to wow me. Create A Superstar lost a lot of attire which was very disappointing, and the Create A Finisher is just created moves with a twist. They still don't have all the Stars in it, just a select few, and no longer have many Legends, unless you think Rick Flair is the ONLY legend. Although the comentaters seem to know more about what's going on in the ring. The fact of the matter is don't waste your money because it's the Latest and Questionably Greatest. Basically it's just WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008 with a Roster update and a new match to keep you wanting more. All in all the game play is pretty much what we all expected... Lack Luster. Lets just pray the Next-Gen version is better.

I've just recently bought WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 for Playstation 2 & it's really great, but it can be better! I also have WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 & 2008 which are great as well! I think that this game should have more features from 2008 such as 24/7 mode, Create-A-Championship, WWE Legends, etc. Also, show more storyline clips in Career mode for CAWs, have ALL wrestlers involved, use more than one person to wrestle with, etc. It's good to have one person to earn ALL the titles at one time, they really need to show upcoming events, upcoming Match Cards, more interviews, press conferences, more storylines for ALL wrestlers, Talk shows such as The Highlight Reel, The Dirt Sheet, etc. Overall, it's still a great game & I would recommend anyone to buy the game if you're a true WWE fan!

i just recently bought this game i have the xbox 360 version.the graphics are way better.they also added inferno match and the highlight reel.1 thing is that its kinda the same as svr08 also they added the downloadable content . thq should have let it be unlockable stuff i mean what if you dont have a computer.one morething is the road to wrestlmania mode it is better than what 08 had i mean everything in 24/7 kept reapeting . i like that they added creat a finisher.defenetley buy this game if your a wrestling fan.trust me do not buy the tna game its like an arcade game and they dont even have tables just chairs.TNA SUCKS .this game is still missing a few thigs like they should add creat a titantron and they shood of left the other creating options like the creat a championship and also they dont have legends i mean i wanted the rock ,stone cold,bret hart.but no you have to get there new game called legends of wrestlemania.usually the legend games suck finally the game could still be a little better
