I love this game to death! It has everything you would really want for in a game fighting, mystery, comedy, and a little romance. This game always leaves you guessing every time you play it. I'm so addicted to it that its all I think about when I'm working or just out doing something else and most games doesn't do that to me. My ps2 broke and I was going to wait to get a new version of the ps3 but for this game i'm buying another ps2 first.
I'll make this brief because I just typed this really long, masterpiece of a review and my browser back-paged me and killed the whole thing for no apparent reason. Atypical RPG following a high-school kid through a year at a new school going day-by-day through the calendar. You go to school, join (or not) clubs and sports, take the occasional test, get a part-time job (or not), eat really spicy food to test your courage.... the mundane stuff such as this is kept fun and actually relevant to the game and it's progression. The graphics, especially on the aging PS2, are amazing and are only topped by the music. An eclectic mix of JPop, rock, wierd genre-less stuff... it all sounds great and goes great with the game. My copy included the soundtrack and I've advise you to look around and make sure yours does too.... just absolutely great music. I don't want to give ANY spoilers about the game so just take this away from this review: If you like in-depth RPGs that last a long, long time, are willing to play an outside-the-box kind of game, and either like or are willing to tolerate anime and anime-ish type things you will most likely enjoy this game. I sure did and I'm now in the process of trying to pick up the other Shin Megami Tensei games due to how amazing this one was.

Oddly enough, the same thing just happened to me too. Sometimes we write masterpieces that these mere mortals just aren't ready to handle- thus the computer keeps us from posting the beauty of our work. Amirite or amirite?

this game has not dissapointed me to the shin megami tensei series. i really loved this game i just cant stop playing it. if you dont own this and you like rpg games then go....buy....this.....NOW!!!!!!!
Yes this is one heck of a game. Great story with many endings, well acted. This game never ever slipped one bit. The gameplay fully lets you contral each character in battle. Many choices to bond with your friends or other people to build your persona's. Nice backgrounds in battle. It's lighter tone then Persona 3 and funnier. You can fight hidden bosses in the place you fought the story bosses. It's harder then the last Persona. The music is good much better too. The game is also more adult with adult themes and strong language. The whole game is a mystery, you must find the murder who is putting people in the world called Midnight Channel. I highly recommend that anyone who loves RPG's or SRPG's get this baby, I can tell you you will never want to stop playing.
