more than just a remake

you shouldn't ignore this game just because of the game play.at first it's probably a bit difficult to handle, but once you get the hang of it,it's actually fun.for those who complain about the card using game play, you'll have to understand that the original game was made for the game boy advance.therefore they didn't have many buttons to work with,so they had to come up with a battle system to make up for it.even though its on ps2 now, they couldn't change it because they would of had to change the entire game, but they did a really good job improving the battle system to make it more simple than the original.as far as graphics go,this game's as good as kingdom hearts 2,& is also as good.unfortunately as for being a challenge, the game is a little a difficult the first time around ,but it can become very simple once understand it completely.I was capable of beating the entire game on expert using only the cards you start out with.the story itself is confusing for those have never played kingdom hearts at all,it's basically a filler between 1& 2.even though,it's still has decent plot to it.the only real part of this game is the lack of side events.once you finish it there isn't anything to keep you constantly going back to play it again.for those who played this series,it's worth a look at,& for those who haven't, I would playing the others first,& finally for those who like to do some sidetracking, this isn't for you.

Not At All Like The Other KH games
onNovember 26, 2010
I personally think this game is is a diss towards KH1 and KH2. The card aspect is just plain stupid I like the first 2 which present a challenge and you dont have to earn dumb cards. I bought and returned this game in the same day.

MORE LIKE KINGDOM SUCKS.
PostedMarch 24, 2010
After playing kh one and kh2, i was expecting for kh chain of memories to put a huge smile on my face like the first two games, but boyyy was i wrong. this game sucks big time. first of all, the way u fight is completely different from the first two games. if i wanted to play a card game, i would not have bought this game. the summons in this game r useless as well. in part one and two, they did alot of damage to your enemies n were more spectacular in animation. dont expect that this time. another annoying thing about this game is, you constantly have to keep going thru your menu, to discard unwanted cards and make room for new ones. unlike kingdom hearts one n two were the storyline was solid, this game feels like they just trew it together at the last minute to hold us fans over til kingdom hearts four. i hope they go back to actual battles with weapons n your characters and not cards. i will not recommend this game for players to buy. RENTTTTTT IT.

By starting kingdom hearts has been a fantastic experience and this more or less. The controls are average and the storyline could of been better. This version of chain of memories features 3d gameplay and new voice acting but as good as it seems fails in comparison to the other prequels or sequels. As you journey to other worlds, voice acting is absence and you are only given text. It is only after you have completed or before you've entered a designated area that you'll hear any voice overs. To the point this is a very challenging game that may have you give up but when you pass the challenge, you'll feel very profound and ackowledge the game for whats its worth. A short story, minimal voice acting, A excellent challenge, graphics average for a ps2 title and overall a medicore experience. Once you have beaten both Sora's And Riku's story you'll just leave this as a part as your collection and nothing more. This is only recommended for the fans and fans only as new comers will feel confused and angry with their experience.

Not a traditional KH game but good.
PostedJanuary 1, 2010
When this game first came out i thought it wouldnt be a good addition to the Kingdom Hearts series. But i decided to give this game a chance and im glad i did,the game might not be great but its good. The game starts off with Sora the main prognagist waking up from a nap and looking around at his surrounding then his eyes come across a figure in the distance. The game might get off a awkward start but once you play the real game it will be more enjoyable. The controls havent strayed from the one of the originals which is good. The story may confuse some but its mostly understandble. Also, the battle system is acceptional thoguh i think Square Enix did a little over-kill with the card battle.Even though i find it enjoyable,i think people who are ages 7-10 might love it while serious gamers might find it a fine exprience.

What the heck!?

I looove KH but this game left me very unhappy I am not good at strategy beyond the point of fight- retreat so this game was very hard for me and I got bored halfway through. I just have one question for the people who made this game 'Why the cards?' Did they think it would make the game better? Cuz in my opinon--epic fail.So sorry I wish it wasn't like that but it's just how I felt about this game. And out of all my KH games that would be the only one I would be willing to sell.
