I would recemend that you play Kingdom Hearts before you play this. Without the knowledge of what happend on the first Kingdom Hearts, you will be confused. But by all means, this is a great game and if you life Final Fantisy, you will also enjoy this game. LOVE IT!!!!

An unforgettable game essential for KH fans

Of the Kingdom Hearts games I've played, this one was my favorite. It was a little difficult to get used to the card based system but after playing around with it for a while I learned it works a lot better than I'd first assumed. Losing to a boss, while annoying, can be very useful for constructing a deck that will guarantee your victory next time. The game allows you to make 3 decks and I used them to make a deck for casual battles, one for boss battles, and one for a specific boss I won't name for fear of spoilers. The story was amazing as is common with these games and roped me in in a heartbeat. Sora's voice actor changing threw me for a bit of a loop in the beginning but it was quickly forgotten as the story began to pick up. The special features, such as being able to re-watch cutscenes after you beat the game and "Reverse/Rebirth", were icing on the cake. In fact, and maybe this is just because I'm a Riku fan, I almost enjoyed Reverse/Rebirth more than Sora's story. When you buy this game, in essence you're buying two. While Reverse/Rebirth isn't as long as Sora's story, seeing the parallels between the two was as fun as playing a whole new game. As a final note, although Re:Chain of Memories continues the story set up in Kingdom Hearts 1, I would venture to say you don't need to have played that game before this one. Of course, having the back knowledge would be very useful.
This game would appeal to most KH fans . If you have not played the first game I would not recommend starting here..... because if you do you will be lost from the beginning. Overall the game has a pretty good gameplay and pretty decent graphics for ps2. If you are partial to strategy and thinking things over before engaging in certain events then this game would probably suit you. If you prefer the hack and slash that the first one had and the continuous x button pressing then you may not enjoy this as much. Overall I'd recommend this to Serious KH fans

everyone says it is not the best game, but i don't agree at all. yes, the battle system may get repetitive as well as the boss battles, but who cares. the gameplay is fun and it has one of the best stories in all of the video games. overall, this game is awesome and deserves a 10.
well don t get me wrong i loved KH i had both but if u played Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories on the Game boy Advance system then u better. It s vary confusing what card do i use? or whats the point in this game? well maybe i should get it on PS 2 cuz it did no Justis on the GBA :(
