Being a fan of ninja games, I picked this up, it wa a bellow the radar game for sure. I enjoyed it quite a bit, it was very over the top. It's not a easy game, but not as hard as say Ninja Gaiden II. Ninja Vision is a neat ability that lets you slow down the action.
The graphics are OK, not super, but not horrible. There is a ton of quick time events, so be warned.
It is a hidden gem as stated and worth a play through or two.

this is an okay game but its one of this games that should have a big sticker on the front of it that says Dont buy this go rent it first. If you do buy this game i VERYVERY STRONGLY recommend you finish the mission you are on and then stop dont be playin the mission and let it say autosave and stuff like that it dosent autosave it just saves the mission ur on and makes you restart the whole mission.Whats cool about this game is you can customize the way your ninja looks. This game its kinda hard to get into cause i think if you get hit by a minion person and you lose like 10 percent of your health and you get like 100 health orbs it gives you like 1 percent of your health back. They gave the Bosses WAY too much health especailly the spider. This game is good and terrible at the same time.

I don't know what these other guys are talkin about the game is super easy to learn. the bosses are not hard but are a challenge to beat so its fun! its like ninja gaiden but has it own style. I think this a good buy! Its been out for a while and the price as not went down. That is a sign that it is a good game. If you like ninja games this game will please you! I can't say I got upset at all in this game! It is a well made game.It has a awsome game play you have to punch a series of buttons and if you miss 1 it stops and backs up so you can try again. makes easy to learn. If you have ever played god of war you know what im talkin about. you have to press the buttons as they are prompted on the screen. over all I would give it a 8.5 out of 10.

Do not waste money on this game. The bosses are hard and there is saving or checkpoints in any level. If your in the middle of a mission and you leave you have to start the level ALL over again. This game is also repetetive. This game is hard and a waste of money trust me do not get it. The first mission boss is impossible and no checkpoints. You die easly. One thing thats good about this game is that you can upgrade your swords and customize your character which is sweet. If your not good at action games do not get this game its way to challenging. The swords are cool though when you hit someone. The storyline is ok, its kinda like Prototype because of the infected. Your not infected your just a human being. If you like challenging games and like Ninja Gaiden get it, but if your new to action and sword games dont get it.

Ninja Blade is a fun beat-em-up game but is nothing special. Now many people would see this as a Ninja Gaiden ripoff but really it's not expect for the fact that both games have Ninjas. Now as I was saying the two games play nothing alike. In Ninja Blade the focus is to get as many kills in one combo string when in Ninja Gaiden you are racing to get to the end while getting multiple combos. Ninja Blade also has many, many, MANY QTE (Quick Time Events). In fact the only reason I don't like most of the boss fights is that you preform many of these QTE's through out the whole battle and you don't feel like you have much skill. Also your weapons all have their own use, for example your heavy sword breaks down walls, you stringed knifes help you jump over gaps, and your Ninja Star is used for putting out fires, conducting water, and moving objects. Also you have "Ninja Vision" which slows down time and adds more damage to your attacks. As for the music...it's nothing special and the voice acting is god awful. But Ninja Blade is a fun game and is worth the money it's priced at (**$).

I played the demo for this game and was impressed with the fun factor of this game. I hesitated to purchase this game but a few weeks after the release I finally picked it up. I ended up kicking myself because I waited so long to get it. The graphics are unbelievable at times I didn't know if it was video or gameplay cut scenes. Upgrading the weapons is a plus. Maxing out your weapon and taking it to the creatures creates its own adrenaline. The storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat anxiously awaiting while you progress through the game. The replay factor is excellent. Normally after finishing a game you forget it and move on to the next. With this game you try to obtain the additional weapons and ninjutsu while using the newly acquired power to destroy the creatures faster and more scintillating fashion. Also the levels are long no 15 minute levels here folks prepare for the long haul with these levels. Verdict- I Highly Recommend it.

The game is a very good game. Don't know why it got some bad reviews. It is pure adrenaline, it takes some aspects borrowed from other games (that is the truth), but the game itself it is really good and challenging with some of the best boss fights ever seen in any game. Good Fast action paced Great graphics Fun gameplay Awesome bosses Easy to learn controls Great combos Length of the game is OK Cons Save system needs to get checkpoints in the middle of a mission (there are checkpoints), but if you turn off the console, you need to start that mission again. Need to finish the mission to get a real save game. Missions take a little bit more than an hour the first time you play (average) No multiplayer, only uploads your stats to compare with others on the leaderboards Anyway it is an awesome game and you should try it :)

I’m usually a rpg guy , so i usually don’t buy these types of games however I was glad that i did. No it is not like devil may cry or ninja gaiden. so please don’t compare. The misinformed guy below about how’s there is only one combo for each sword is wrong!!! You must lv up the weapon via killing enemies in which you will receive red orbs like god of war each weapon has 4 levels. there are 9 acts which each stage lasting somewhat between 20-45 minutes’ long, so on a second time around on easy u probably could beat this game within 4 hours it took me almost entire day. The one thing i like about this game is the fact that you can customize your character appearrance. and you can find costumes as well, not to mention the different ninja head band emblems you can find. Also like all ninjas the main character can use ninjutsu in fire, wind or thunder. the game has excellent replay value to find all the costumes ,emblems and hidden extras and they have a leader score board to track the time and combos you perform. the boss battles are massive. Got to love it- don’t want to give anything away so just play the game already.

I was very excited when this game came out, because I am a very big fan of the ninja series on xbox, which it looked very similar to, and pretty much anything ninja related, so when it was released I ran out and bought it. When I got home and popped the disk in, I was so dissapointed. The graphics are okay and the story is hardly innovative, but ( I know what you're saying who cares about the story, its a ninja game hows the haking and slashing.) the gameplay is so terrible that it's humurous. The main character is equipped with three diffrent swords. A katana, a large cloud-ish sword and two small short swords. Each sword litterally has one combo it can do and a small purple flame rest at the tip of each sword making it look like a girly ribbon follows his strikes and it doesn't help that he twirls his weapons around like a 3 year old gymnasts. Please, don't even waste your money and go buy another popular ninja game on the 360. *wink wink*

For some reason this game is not getting the exposure it deserves. This is a great fun game. It is non-stop action with multiple bosses in each level. The controls work well. I dont feel the quicktime events are to frequent as some reviewers have said. There are plenty of action fighting going on with finishing moves being QTE's. Destructable evironments, collectables, upgrades, customizable costumes, are all part of the game. It is a combination of ninja gaiden, dark sector, god of war wrapped into one game. Try the demo if need be. If you want a game that is fun to play this is your game. The only issue is that it is a little short with only 9 levels, and the save game feature only happens at the end of each level. Give this game a try.

I have to say that I was extremely skeptical of this game before I bought it. I was one of those people that said "oh great, here's yet another crummy ninja game like all the rest". Luckily, I was wrong :) I was completely surprised by the inventive gameplay, compelling story and non-stop action! In the best way to describe it, the gameplay itself is like a mixture of God of War, Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry. They add the hack'n'slash element to the game, but never enough at one time to get bored with it. When you've just about had enough, they add quick-paced "reflex sequences" in which you have to press, move or manipulate button combinations to succeed in defeating many different monsters. It also uses a level-up feature like that in the Devil May Cry series, in which you use harvested blood points to upgrade your weaponry and skills, honing you into a massive killing-machine. The story is compelling enough to keep you playing and guessing, and with at least 2 bosses every stage, it promises plenty of fun and challenge! I recommend this game to ANYONE who enjoyed the three games I listed earlier, anyone who enjoys ninja game or really anyone looking to single-handedly take down a monstrous infestation.

great ninja game

This game is a great addition for any ninja fan not only does it have great combat and a good story, but the main character is bad ass. Some great combo moves in my opinion my fav is the one that has u spinning on the floor wand swinging the sword with his feet (right trigger + tapping of x at same time). Surprisingly u can customize the armor of the main character and change its color and as u go through and get things u unlock new outfits. My guy looks like ronald mcdonald colors for a few levels. It is challenging not ninja gaiden 2 challenging.great boss battles as well.

This games demo surpassed all of my expectations. Ninja Gaiden was said to be the best, well has anybody told them there's a new ninja in town. Ninja Blade has taken the 2009 action concept and has produced a game that had me literally crying in joy. It continuously had me wanting more and it fed me every single time. Xbox has seem to be gunning for PlayStation and with this one. Boy oh Boy. PlayStation just brought a knife to a gun fight or shall i say Ninja blade did. Either way I know better than to buy ninja gaiden with ninja blade around.

After playing the demo i gotta say this game has got my hopes up. I love playing these action games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma + 2, God of War 1+2, and Heavenly Sword and its great how this game has a fixed camera like GoW....cause NGs camera can get frustrating at times. I don't know why people are complaining it's a NG rip off...like there is anything wrong with that? to me this game is a combo of NG and GoW so I'm excited to play through another brutal slasher

I recently downloaded the game ninja blade and i got to say this game is exciting i like how you have those sequencing events ninja gaiden 2 was missing that's the only part that i hated about ninja gaiden 2 but this game is a whole different story the only thing im wondering is if this game will let you use the motorcycle that i saw in the pictures also i think that the whole speed of the ninja is a killer feature one of the many other unique features this game carries.

Yes, I've recently downloaded and played the demo. I just can't get past the fact that this game feels like a total rip-off of Ninja Gaiden. Just look at the facts; modern-day ninja, NeoTokyo setting, demonic monster opponents, and a selection of over the top japanese style weapons. Even the regular movements are the same including wall running and dash. I'm not saying this game won't be enjoyable for hack'n'slash fans. I was just hoping for something a little more original.

I just finished playing the demo.. and i honestly thought it was good... the graphics were good and i like the weapons.. it is almost like nija gaiden just a bit worse.. if u liked ninja gaiden u should like this game... I'm going to buy this game... i suggest people buy this game and if not get resident evil 5 because that is literally the best game i ever played in my life.

I very much loved, and enjoyed the demo. Ken Ogawa is so badarse. I found it funny when I heard his name was KEN, Hence Ryu Hayabusa I.E. Ken & Ryu from street fighter. Anyway, This game, from what i took from the demo is very good. I loved the cinematic play style as well as the weapons, graphics, and lighting. While most are in denial about this game being good, mainly because RYU has served us with Ninja Gaiden for so long it's hard to be appreciated. I however very much prefer Ninja Blade over the Gaiden series, and will be pre-ordering this ASAP.
