Good Game to play!
PostedMarch 22, 2010
Last Year was my first year buying the MLB The Show Series and I am impressed. This game is really fun to play! My favorite part has to be the Spring Training. I love the Spring Training feature and having the right to get to play with everyone on your forty man roster. I am also looking forward to the regular season and playoffs. I have not tried the Road to the Show feature but it also as well seems like a nice feature. The only bad part of this game is the graphics. I do think some of the Spring Training Fields aren't that good, and there is no umpires. The only problem with this game is the Graphics and Animation, and they need to update their rosters. For example Adam Dunn, Manny Ramirez. and Ivan Rodriguez were still free agents. I would recommend this game, but there are some changes that Sony is going to have to make to this game.

This is better than what I expected. I expected a game that is just slightly better than 2K9, but this game is miles better than all of the 2K games. Although I'm sure this game is better on PS3 than it is on PSP, it's still real fun. The main concept is the same, and ha sthe same things, but the graphics a fuzzy, and the crowd animations are very mediocre. The announcing is fantastic, and helps a lot on Road to the Show, when you fastforward to your next event. It also has what the players are like right. One thing that I think gets a little bit annoying is the meter for pitching, which is just something that takes up screen space, and is rather hard to figure out. The controls are great, and I really like how you can guess the pitch, and it informs you if you are correct. I also don't like that you can't do a power swing on Rookie mode, because I always do the easiest mode, then work my way up, but since there is no power swing it's almost impossible to hit homeruns. So all in all, this game is actually very fun and fantastic, but there's just lots of little things that annoy me. I'm new to these games, so I'd reccomend it to anyone who hasn't played these games, and probably anyone who has played these games, but if you have a PS3, get that version, because I'm sure the PS3 version is way better than the PSP version, mostly graphics wise. If you have a PSP, you should get this game.

Best Game
PostedAugust 2, 2009
I just bought this game a week ago. I started out with MLB 2k9 and HATED IT!!!! I then moved on and bought MLB 09 The Show. It is a little more expensive than 2k9 but let me tell you that it is so worth the higher price. The live weekly roster updates are great. My favorite feature however is Road To The Show 3.0. I created myself as a pitcher and had to make the team, negotiate a contract, discuss things with the manager, TRAIN, start games... At first i was skeptical about the graphics because i hadn't purchased the show since the 2007 installment and went to 2k8 for the next year. The announcers are still the same and the interface is similar but thats ok because it is familiar just like watching a game at home. I would highly reccomend this game to any baseball fan because it really is as the box says, NOTHING GETS YOU CLOSER!

Big disappointment
PostedApril 17, 2009
This game is probably one of the most disappointing games I've ever purchased. The graphics are terrible. It's hard to follow what's going on. It takes an eternity to load. A lot of the players aren't ranked properly. There is no minor league system. And most fans know of young studs in the farm system of their favorite team... Well... Those young studs aren't in this game. Overall, the quality of this game isn't really good. It could have been much, much, much better. The best part about this game is the more involvement you have during the off-season in the season mode... But if you're going to buy this game you might as well ditch the PSP version, buy a PS3 and then get the PS3 version. I'm sure the PS3 version is much better............
