Not worth the buy

This really was not what i was expecting for the second game. Its hold down Square and use L and R to rotate your robot while you shoot and move with the analog. Power ups from your main single shot to double, and when you get the triple you pretty much blow up everything on screen. So if you dont like contra, or the game spy hunter i wouldn't bother with this version of the game. The PS3 one looks more promising.

TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE ROCKS
Well this game was nothing of what i expected the graphics are like the #1's. This is suppost to be ''Transformers" but you cant transform!!! The only thing i liked was that if you get golden medals you unlock the clasic transformers cartoons. The game itself was really bad. The length was allright but you could barley hear it. it isnt worth the $. The 1st one was WAY better then this. If you thought the 1st one was bad this one makes the 1st one look likes it was the best game made. I would not recomend this but if you want to try go ahead you wont like it. It is a bit challenging. The storyline is close to the movie's story.Just that every level kind of seems the same you just go shoot robots smaller then you. I was not saticfide at all..

This game just makes you want to throw you psp to a wall its that bad.the game is very repetitive all it just is robot mission and then driving mission and it just goes on also did I tell you when you play as the decipticons nothing changes thats right no difference at all. This game stinks everything about this game stinks ! The graphics look like horrible and the sound is ear scratching to the MAX! Just take my word and avoid this game at all costs!!!

I bet this game will be one of the best of 09. They're already finished making the movie and I bet the movie will also be good too. I really think the graphics will be very good for the PSP and that the gameplay will also be fun. I hope it will also be a all-around game like the force unleashed(great game) and not like spider-man:web of shadows where you could only go left to right. I think this will be a surprise since there hasn't been a lot of hype surronding this game. There is going to be a lot of good games coming out in 09 and this will probably be in the top 5 of games this year.

I am disappointed with this game, but not quite as bad as the first TF movie game on psp, this one at least has just a touch of polish to it. The gameplay of this title is more like a cheap download title, Those kind that use dual stick controls, though even the weakest of those have a bit more substance than this. Instead of using the stick for movement and the buttons for shooting direction, this uses the L and R to rotate your aim. If you've ever played the Sega Genesis versions of Midnight Resistance or Forgotten Worlds this game has the same concept. The levels are bland and have little to do other than blast and blast. That would be fine if there was a proper assortment of weapons to break up the monotony, only two weapon upgrade types with one upgrade tier each; double/triple straight fire and spread/wider spread fire. Instead of a transforming mechanic this game uses driving stages, where the gameplay here is alright, but its very very easy. On the up side, the voice actors are good. You get to hear Frank Welker reprise his role (unlike the movie) as Megatron's voice and Soundwave too, but SW's voice has the digital filter in the game making it sound more classic than in the movie. I would say if your a fan, and can find it at a big discount it might be worth getting, but certainly not at the sticker price.

This game is perfect for: party gamers
It's not the best game ,but I would recommend this to younger gamers because of the campaign.I,however, don't love that you can't transform when u want and you have to be in robot mode almost all the missions.I like that it does follow the movie.Again it's not the best but it's a least better than the game for the first movie for PSP.

The only one to play this game before the rest
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is not a good game on the PSP in any way shape or form. In fact, it's one of the most boring and poorly produced titles I've yet played for the system. Steer clear at all costs. the PSP game easily takes the cake as the worst of the bunch, far and away. It is boring, frustrating, poorly designed and fairly buggy. It's also one of the worst games on the system. The game is essentially a top-down shooter where you work linearly through a level while killing everything in your way. If you're not firing, the left analog stick gives you free movement of your Transformer, though while shooting it'll move you up and down and strafe you left and right. In this case, you use the L and R buttons to turn. For pretty much the entire game, you'll be controlling it this way because you have no reason to stop shooting. And that's one of the first pieces of low-budget proof. While each Transformer's gun sounds different, there's only one sample per weapon, so as soon as you begin firing, you hear the same sample played a few times per second for a good fifteen minutes straight. By my math, if we assume the sample is playing three times per second, you'll hear the same sound about 2,700 times in a row before you finish the first level. Yeah, it's pretty much less than meets the eye. But that's the least of the problems. The biggest is that the game is simply boring. While there are a handful of levels where you'll do something a little different, like drive (which I'll come back to), the bulk of the game simply involves moving in whatever direction you're supposed to go in, holding down the shoot button and dodging incoming fire. Over and over and over again. While this is the same formula that you'll find in classics like Contra, Commando or Ikari Warriors, my problem here is that many of the Transformers you face (or turrets, energized walls, etc.) all take a lot of bullets to put down, and unless you play as one of the fastest machines at your disposal, you move really slowly (really, really slowly in some cases). So rather than having the feeling of plowing through guys and constantly advancing like you do in these classics, you instead move forward to the next group of guys and then have to stop and move back and forth to dodge shots while returning fire for longer than what most anyone would consider fun. And then the boredom turns into frustration. You eventually get to missions where you need to protect something or someone, and Decepticons will swarm the screen and take them out. Since it takes you forever to take down the bigger guys, and since some of the scenes will have a ton of guys on the screen, there's not much you can do except slowly work your way through the crowd. Most any strategy that you could think of here is lost, and the result is simply frustration as you watch the enemy cause you to fail over and over again until you finally get lucky. And then there are the bugs. At one point relatively early in the game, I was playing as Starscream and faced off against Bumblebee. I cornered him against a wall at one point and trapped him there while simply punching over and over again, which he couldn't counter. After a cutscene mid-fight got him out of this mess, he eventually fired a couple rockets, walked into an invisible wall and slid along it until he wound up in the corner and then just stood there. I stopped fighting to see if he would do anything. Nope. I just walked over and punched him to death. Little bugs are everyone. At times, you can't pick up health or weapon upgrades while firing, though most of the time you can. There were a handful of times where I would be firing, meaning that my guy should be strafing and not changing his fire direction, and he would all of a sudden start firing in a random direction. This screen looks bad, but you need to see this in action to truly know the terribleness. And then there are the driving sequences that I mentioned earlier, which r
