An incredible game.

Bioware blew us away with Mass Effect, and they continue to impress us with Mass Effect 2. First off, if you play games for the mindless, sadistic slaughter, you won't enjoy this. This is not a Halo, because in this game, the story matters. The game is meant to have an incredible story, and it does. And it's called a role-playing game for a reason. The game is not some railed shooter, because every decision you make effects the end. And the immersion that you feel playing is incredible. The characters are so developed, real, that you find yourself having actual, real-life feelings for them. And the combat is a nice feature. You have special abilities that you need to use to have an advantage. And killing a thresher-maw or a reaper with a mini-nuke never gets old, but it's not about the combat, its about being in a universe that is believable, that feels real, and where you actually feel like you saved the galaxy.

AMAZING! great transition from FPS to RPG
PostedJuly 26, 2011
For all of you gamers who play just fps games, this is a great transitioning game because there is a lot of shooting but it gets you introduced to the storylines of RPGs. The downside is that there is no multiplayer but the good thing is that you get to upgrade your abilities which makes it seem like an FPS

now i'm not a bioware fan but...
PostedJuly 26, 2011
i think of bioware is great a one thing: making a story and character's you deeply care about. they a great story tellers but one thing i never liked about them is there gameplay. i mean there always okay, but its always clunky, poor and repetative gameplay and enviorements and KoTAR, KoTAR 2 , ME 1, dragon age origins, and dragon age 2 were all that. the one game i accully thought that id like that i thought id like is SWOR MMO coming out at the end of the year. and after getting through hafe of ME1 there was no way id buy ME2 . but at the begining of this summer as all summer. game releases were lacking and i heard ME2 was much better . and after playing for about 3 hours i realized it was a bioware game changer. i finished my first playthrough this moring after all night of playing and now i cant wait for ME3 , if you like RPGs and or shooters . buy this game...now . its only 18 bucks, dont be cheap. a must have for any hardcore gamer.
