Awesome!

At first the controls may be a little difficult to get use to. I know it was for me. After awhile when you get use to it, it's an awesome game. Unlike guitar hero there's no strumming which can relive a lot of stress and tiringness. 41 songs could mean nothing to you but I don't think you can memorize them all anyways. Now I'll write about the details of the game. The different songs have different difficulties for each instrument. When you select which difficulty you want it shows how hard is it on drums, vocal, guitar, bass, and sometimes the band overall. In my opinion, the most challenging one is the drums. If I do fail, I fail because of drums. The songs are categorized in different ways. One of them is by how hard it could be. Jackson 5's "ABC" is suppose to be easy I guess but don't be fooled. Some of these songs should be in different categories. Take "More than a Feeling" for example. It's listed as one of the hardest songs but that's my most successful song. So please don't be fooled about the categories. The graphics and sounds were as expected. Of course the sound has to be the music, but the background sound involves the crowd if you listen carefully. Graphics I have to say are pretty bad on the players of the band. Overall this game is pretty challenging because even though you have a band, your basically a one-man-band because you do all the playing. Sometimes it might be easy to fail on one instrument if you don't pay attention to it. But I give this game a 9 cause other than that, this game is awesome.

A must for Rockband lovers
PostedOctober 14, 2009
If anyone loves Rockband on consoles, you will love this game on the PSP. At first i was iffy about playing all 4 instruments at th same time. it seemed complicated. However after playing 2-3 songs you easily get used to it and it becomes easy. The tutorial showing you how is great if it seems confusing at first. The controls seem odd at first, but it's quite easy. I learnt on my own to press down for star power. The sound is great and even better with headphones when needing not to disturb anyone. I love the tracks on this game. Some are challenging and I found myself playing this for hours without putting it down. However the downside is that the songs can get stuck in your head and you will find yourself singing them all night long!!! Really this game is great and I recomend it to any Rockband lovers who want to play on the go!! A++

Better than Amplitude

Rock Band Unplugged starts off where you can quickplay or jump straight into career mode. I choose to play a few songs in quickplay then bust out jamming in the career mode. It was really a good move to try quickplay first as I discovered headphones were definitely necessary for this video game. The headphones really amp up the sound, but like most music video games I would recommend that everyone take at least a 5 or 10 minute break every hour or 2, because it can: a.) get really addicting to where you can't stop; b.) you may get a headache from all the glorious music all at once... This game has a terrific song variety, but I'm disappointed that some of the ones already in the game and some in the DLC were from Guitar Hero World Tour... basically I'm stating that they were unnecessary. I think a little more Rock and then some Grunge/Metal DLC packs should be perfect for this game. The graphics are... well... eh... They could've been a lot better, let's just put it that way. The psp is capable of so much more... just look at crisis core... The customization features are not much to be desired... in fact they're not great at all.. maybe creating your own clothes could've been an interesting feature. The challenge in this game is impressive, but the career mode challenge is not so challenging. Basically in career mode, you will need to set aside a few hours to play because once you get past the solo songs, 2-5 packed tracks in one stage start heading you're way. Overall, this game is good but I'd like to see much more effort put into a sequel if one is ever to be made.
