this game is awesome the best but the monsters are so hard first time i played i died first two hits tried again died again it needs two or four people to play so don't get it unless you have 2-4 people

I love monster hunter. I bought the first one for psp about 3 years ago and was sure to get every one on release afterwards. This game is intense and time consuming. Some people may find it frustrating and time consuming at first, but once you get used to it you'll get addicted. I defiently recommend this if you have friends that have PSPs. Get em to buy it with you and get started on some 4 player co-op. it makes the game easier, but so much fun. The game easily has 200+ hours of gameplay and 100s of missions. They may seem repetive at times, but they get progressively harder for sure and you'll unlock new monsters with each rank up. The gameplay is focused greatly on fighting. There's a wide variety of weapons to choose from and customize to make your own fighting style. Towards the end of the game it takes quite a bit of strategy. The game definetly has a strange anime/asian feel to it. This is defiently my 2nd favorite PSP game though.
If you have Monster Hunter for Ps2, Monster Hunter for Psp, or Monster hunter 2 for psp, go ahead and trade them when buying this one. they're useless. This has all of those games and more. This is pretty much a V2 of monster hunter 2 and even carries over your saved data like monster hunter one does for two.

i first got into monsterhunter last year.i never used to play games but this game changed that i will tell you that the money spent on this game will not go to wast. there are many many monsters to kill from gaint dragons to bird wyverns and unicorns. this game is fast paced and fun with the amount fo differant weapons you can use

this game is fun at first but quickly gets annoying and repetitive by repetitive i mean that its quest after quest of just swinging a weapon around and annoying because this game gets extremely difficult i understand this game is more focused around co-op but they should have at least toned it down for single player this game reminds me on why i hate capcom they assume that everyone that plays there games are pros im up for a challenge in games but this is overboard you dont even have fun dying over and over again thats probably why this game has over 500 hours of gameplay
