I always prefer the name brand over the other company's version, but I had no say in the matter. Other than that, it works just as well as the Nintendo version, but I'm not too thrilled about the design. I recommend the Official Nintendo Wii Remote over the Nyko.

i got this remote and it sucks, i try and try and try but it just wont come on! alot of peple say, this is cool, this is great, but it sucks! just do not get it ok, just buy real one! it sucks!
I am sure you have seen many different reviews for this item. One moment, you will see a review saying "Great controller!", then the next review says, "Doesn't work! Buy the official Nintendo one!" What is my opinion? Well read on and find out! I got this remote out of surpised. I intended on getting the official Nintendo Black Wii Remote, but the black NYKO Wii Wand ended up in my hands. PRO #1: Comes in a huge variety of colors, such as white, black, blue, green, and more. Anyways, I had no trouble syncing this remote to my Wii, actually I never had any trouble with that. It always seemed to sync fine. PRO #2: I never had any problem syncing the Remote. Anyways, I was surprised that I had no trouble syncing it. I have read numerous reviews stating that it has trouble syncing and would unsync during gameplay. CON #1: Many people over the internet have had trouble syncing the remote, in and out of gameplay. Anyways, I found the remote to work just as well as any other controller. Read all of my motions well, pointer worked fine, buttons are big but comfortable, and it reads the nunchuk, wii motion plus, and most other accesseries. PRO #3: Works just as well as a normal Wii Remote. Anyways, it is very cheap. PROS #4: Very cheap. Only 25 bucks for the remote and only 30 buck for the remtoe with motion plus built in. So, as you can see, the NYKO Wand performs as well as a normal Wii Remote for me. The only time I had the Wand unsync on me is when I ran a homebrew application. If you don't know what homebrew is, then good, you will NEVER have the unsync problem. So anyways, this Wii Remote is great. I am not saying it is better then the Nintendo Remote, but it is a nice cheap alternative. Whether you want to take the risk of it working or not is your decision, but I have never had problems with this.
You know, I have not had a single problem with this remote, in fact I find it better than the original WII Remote. I bet that most of your remotes didn't work because you did not keep them in a suitable living area that is full of dust, dropped it and expected it to work, did not charge it for a very long time so its battery just completely died out, or don't know how to hold a WII Remote whatsoever

I really don't understand what everyone's talking about. I've been using my Nyko remote for almost a year and I've NEVER had any problems with it. It works great. Never unsyncs from the Wii... works with my classic controller. I highly recommend this product~!
