The Lost Frontier...
PostedDecember 6, 2009
I found the new Jak and Daxter to be a fun game, but it just wasnt long enough for me. I beat it in only six to seven hours and as a fan of all the previous games, I was hoping this one would top all of the others. My favorate of the Jak and Daxter games is still the first one. I would still recomend fans of the series to play it but dont have too high of expectations for it. The graphics were pretty good for a PS2 game. The planes were also fun to fly and customize. Playing Dark Daxter was pretty cool too, I like how both characters have been affected with Dark Eco now. I was hoping for more territories to explore also, it wouldve been nice to have been able to see more creative areas. You go to most of them more than once and I believe there are only five total. On the first you explore all kinds of different areas. Overall, I still liked the game and have already beaten it twice since I bought it.

Jak & Daxter Sold
PostedNovember 22, 2009
When I heard that this game was coming out I was ecstatic. I went to go rescearch the and game I was disappointed to find that Naughty Dog sold Jak & Daxter to High Impact Games, which made the new Jak & Daxter, The Lost Frontier. Yet when I first found out it was before they even made the cover so I thought it was a hoax. Turns out now that I finally see that it does say, "High Impact Games" instead of "Naughty Dog" and of what Sony Rules' said I know it will be a much different game from our well known trilogy. I also noticed that Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier was not made into a PlayStation Portable Game first, but you never know they might be working on making this game into a PSP game soon. The graphics might be better then, because of how compact those things are.

Jak and daxter the lost frontier
PostedNovember 8, 2009
The Jak and daxter franchise is my favorite videogame of all time. My favorite is the third. As far as expectations go, this game serpassed mine. It was better than i expected, however, it didn't exacly meet the standards the previous series gave. The graphics were confusing, i couldn't tell if they were good or not. They made Kira look like an asian lady. And i don't know if they went back in time or something, but I think Jak got alot younger (seeing as he lost his gotee). The storyline wasn't as good as the second, or even close to the third, but did catch me of gard at the end when you fight the boss. The Game is so short, My final time was foure hours. However, The ship levels were super fun. I expected them to be hell, but the controlls are smooth, and awesom. At first, I was bummed that there wasn't a dark Jak, But high impact games made a great substitution with the ability to buy eco powers with collected dark eco. All though dark Jak is an iconic face of this franchise, you soon forget about him when you get cool powers, like the ability to find every precursour orb with a blue light that shows you where they are (which you have to buy), To replace dark jak, i guess they decided to make a dark daxter. Well that. Playing as Drak Daxter is absolute hell, and i offten found myself throwing the controller in anger at him. First, Theres only three levels with him in it, and his powers suck! The coolest thing he can do is wirl around in a tornado like the tazmanian devil from loonytoons, and that doesn't even hurt enemies. But my biggest disopiontment about Dark Daxter, is that you cant change into him whenever you want to like you could with dark Jak. The best part of the Daxter levels was the end when you are in an elevator that you can completely demolish and get precursour orbs from. In my opinion, the greatest disopiontment to this game was the los of light jak. And the guns, Didn't exactly get it. They had all the treditional weapons like the scater gun and the vulcan fury. But if your going to pick up from a game like Jak 3, you'll need some pretty B.A weapons. All and all, I like this game and do recomend it, just don't expect it to be as good as the previous ones. I really like this game and am looking forward to the sequal.

The Best it could be

The Lost Frontier is in no way a finely tuned seamless game, but for a fan of the series it brings forth all we needed out of the game. Personally I was hoping for a more badass Jak, considering he recently discovered that he is Mar, and should act as such, but he had his classic charm none the less. The new Eco system is a fine addition and I found it tons of fun. Boss fights were well simple with a clear strategy but fun...still fun. The ending in no way reached the epic status of the original trilogy, less character development, and the player gains no attachment to the Aeropeans and thus their betrayal is in no way hard hitting. For a fan of the original trilogy and a Jak X Online deathmatch master, I enjoyed the 7 hours it took to get through this game.
