Good at first, but it gets old.

Wii Sports Resort is the first Wii game the is compatible with WiiMotionPlus that I have purchased. The game has many new sports and it is a lot of fun, at first. When you first play Wii Sports Resort, you will be blown away by the controls with the new WiiMotionPlus. That little accessory does wonders for translating the movements from your wrist to the television screen. If you just barely twist your wrist when throwing a frisbee or rolling a bowling ball, you will completely see a different throw or roll then you would if your wrist stayed straight. In swordplay, the game picks up any angle you can point your Wii remote perfectly. I was not impressed with the graphics in the game. I mean I didn't expect them to be revolutionary but they are no better than the graphics in the original Wii Sports. But then again, the Wii is not meant to have amazing graphics, it was made for amazing controls. Too bad... Now, replay value is where the game disappoints. At first I was so impressed with all of the new sports, I was having so much fun. For some sports, once you advance and advance to somewhere around level 1000 or so, they become much to difficult. For other sports, I just got very bored after playing them too many times. But you can easily overcome any issues of replay value, if you just get a friend to join the game with you. The sports can get very competitive, and they lead to some intense living room battles. If you loved the original Wii sports, or are just a Wii gamer looking for a good pick up and play game, I highly suggest you go out and buy this game. But if you have a tight budget and need games to have a high replay value, STAY AWAY. Wii sports resort is the anticipated sequel to wii sports,which comes bundled in every wii. Well with this wii sports you also get a special pack- in. the wii-motion plus. the motion plus is just an add-on to your wii remote that detects your every movment of your wrist. take for example a frisbee. with the motin plus it detects every little movement you do with the controller. For this reason alone wii sports resort is a must buy for every wii owner. The motion-plus will be used in new games that will soon be released. Now let me tell you about the game. Wii sports resort has 12 different games and each game is unique in its own way. THis game is very simple but its meant to be that way. I mean this game can be played by anyone,and its extra fun when you have 4 controllers and everyone is playing against each other. Thats what you should consider about this game. its not much fun playing by yourself but is a whole lot funner with other people. either way this game is worth getting just for the motion plus but you also get this very fun and intuitive game with it. you owe to yourself to play this even if you never enjoyed the first wii sports. its like when you played the wii for the first time, you get that new and fresh feeling

Good game, but...

I have enjoyed Wii Sports Resort a lot and it is a pretty cool game! They have added some cool sports since the past Wii Sports. Overall it is a cool game, but there are some problems with it. My biggest upset was the Wii Motion Plus. I have asked many people about whether or not you actually need the Motion Plus, and they have all said no (it even says that you don't need it in the booklet!). But when I went to play it without the Motion Plus, it said I had to connect one! I think that the Motion Plus is not needed, and personally, I do not see the difference in the gameplay. Secondly, WHAT HAPPENED TO TENNIS!!!!!!! That was one of my most favorite game on the original Wii Sports!!! Why would they take away one of the best sports?! Table tennis is cool and all, but regular tennis is still better. Anyway, there are some other things too, but overall the game is pretty fun. I would recommend getting this game.

Wii put the fun back with this set

This game is so much fun. The graphics are better than the original wii sports. People actually have legs! Swordplay and archary are my two favorites. The wind on the archary will make a difference to where you are aiming. Swordplay is a lot of fun and turns me into a giant kid again. I feel like Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. The controls are simple and the added factor of the motion plus seems to work. It is easier to spin the ball in table tennis and bowling. Sound quality is ok, but I have to admit nothing compares to xbox and surround sound. Overall the quality of the sound and graphics are good. Basket ball is fun, especially the pick up game. I could never play real basket ball so it makes me feel like I can. The only disapointing factors that I have found is that I miss tennis and baseball. In my opinion if they would have added both of those to this set, it would be a perfect combination.
